Service during the current environment can be tricky but our waiter and the front of the house staff did a great job keeping everything clean and comfortable.

It was closed!!! And yelp was still making on line reservations like if everything was functioning. It should be clear what is open, what is closed and what is delivery only....

I loved Piccolo! It's very small. Very very small. But they pack a lot of charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent into this place. The food: beyond expectations. My swordfish ink pasta was so cool. The appetizer of carrots was otherworldly. Yep. Even though it was carrots... the pasta primavera was flawless. The wine list, decent. The dessert, chocolate mousse thing, was probably the best chocolate dessert I've ever had. I'm going to dedicate a significant part of my life trying to recreate it. The service was exceptional. Thus was a perfect dining experience. Well... the tables are pretty close together, but it is very small.

Words cannot describe our dinner at Piccolo but I will try. This experience was more of an event than a dinner evening. Ilma (our server) graciously obliged our request to serve us to her recommendations. She suggested small portion courses for my fiancee and I to share. This gave us the luxury of tasting the best they had to offer. The best is what it was! Far exceeding our expectations. A lesson in gastronomy nirvana. Every course was perfectly paired with individual wines. Salumi & cheese, olives, homemade focaccia with olive oil, midollo (roasted marrow bone oxtail) was life changing! 4 Homemade pasta dishes that made my socks roll up and down! Ilma's service was impeccable to say the least! If you are looking for authenticity in cuisine that will teleport you to Italy, this is the place! I will sing the praises of piccolo as being hands down, the best dining experience I have ever had the good fortune of experiencing! Thank you Ilma! Hats off to the chef! The divinity of your culinary creations is the best you will ever find in Portland!

Amazing! Excellent service and delicious cuisine. The lamb cavatelle is to die for! The space is very small so reservations are highly recommended.

Food is very good and there is a delicious wide selection of it, but I only give 4 stars because the restaurant itself is a little small and you should not plan to bring a bigger party, and the food is very expensive, but very worth it. I really reccomend the ravioli as it is fresh and is full of yummy cheese.

Outstanding!!! Extraordinary flavors! Honestly, we were so fortunate to stumble to this corner of Portland center and find this jewel. We arrived very late, fearing we needed to rush but, the server was so so welcoming; so ... every dish was superb. Salad pasta steak - each dish was so delightful!! If you are in Portland you must try it

Get the bone marrow or the lamb ragu... or whatever is in their menu that night. Save room for dessert!

Really friendly and attentive service. We ordered pasta dishes and were very happy with them. The plates cost around $28 each, so a little pricey but the pasta, we were told, is made fresh in house, and it was cooked to perfection. Would recommend booking ahead as it is a cosy space with not too many seats.

I came with my girlfriend and there were four empty tables. I was told at the door that there was no room for me in the restaurant. It is currently 6pm on a Saturday night, I am unsure of why I was turned away but this was a highly unpleasant experience.

Bone marrow oxtail is out of this world. Squid ink pasta was also a favorite of ours. Excellent helpful staff providing suggestions and cheerful atmosphere inside.
