Portland House of Pizza

I ordered a To-go pizza as i was going to a kids ballgame downthe street. Apparently the ball field orders Pizza to seel atthe game from Portland House. Ihad herd many negative comments about the pizzas atthe ball field. So i went straightto order at Portland House! when i got to ball field i shared it with a couple who had just thrown the ball field pizza away as it was awful. They had a slice of mine which they said was fantastic! Better check withwhat is going to the ball field as it discredits your restaurant!!!

Its a decent house of pizza. Food prices are high, but with the way the restaurant business is today, this is what we have to work with.

Tonight I ordered for the first time ever from here. Have other friends who live in the same building as I do. My friend recommended that I try something from PHOP. Well I can honestly say, that I am glad that I listened. Looking forward to ordering again.

I love this joints pizza 10x more than anything I can ever make at home! Been going here since I would skip my PRVTC (Allen Ave VoTech) plumbing class and come to PHoP with my friends. It was worth getting in trouble for, once or twice lol. The food is just awesome. The pizza is perfect and has FLAVOR!! The staff are usually pretty great to us and the atmosphere is fine....its a pizza joint, all they need is a Pac Man/Galaga video game (sit down pizza joint kind that Pizza Hut always had).

I enjoyed the Spring Chicken pizza, a monthly special. praising the food, service, and prices. The pizza special was a highlight, and the overall dining experience was very positive.

Absolutely incredible! This pizza place is a hidden gem—every bite bursts with flavor. The crust is perfectly crisp, the sauce is rich and tangy, and the toppings are fresh and generous. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the vibe is cozy but lively. If you’re a pizza lover, this spot is a must-visit. Five stars all the way!

What a disappointment! We were regulars for years until moving from the area a few years ago. My husband initially introduced me to this place having been a regular since 1999. We recently stopped by while passing through the area. I had a burger and fries. Not sure if it was beef or something else. The color and taste were definitely different. They no longer have hand cut fries! They are now greasy and frozen. Although my husband’s pizza was ok, definitely greasy most likely from low quality cheese. Although the dining area had a fresh coat of paint, it’s definitely tired and perhaps recovered booth seats. The customer service is also not nearly as nice as the old days. Now it’s definitely overpriced and unfortunately , PHP is now off the list.

Give this place a shot! There are a lot of good spots for pizza in Portland... these guys make a great pie! I had the "Old World Pepperoni." It was awesome! Exactly what I was hoping for. Delivery was fast and friendly. Will definitely order from them again.

Just had delivery again. Fast & friendly! The food? Only the best calzone I've ever had! ("Meatza" + jalapeños)
