They got rid of my two favorites so I most likely won't be back for a while. (Buffalo chicken and Pastrami.

I never write offhand bad reviews. I am very sympathetic to the service industry and give the service person benefit of the doubt a lot. I have worked in food & beverage myself. But this place has proven to be so far beyond.... It's actually almost unbelievable. (Note, in the last few years this Subway was totally normal and okay. I got subs from here and it was solid with normal service. I don't know when & why it recently changed)

These are the facts:
1.) I ordered a large tuna sub from this Subway one night before heading home out of Portland, using the app.
2.) I arrived at the Subway approximately 20+ mins later and it was empty- no customers. 1 guy was behind the counter, wearing street clothes, nothing indicating his being a store employee. He was working there, but his whole presence was confused and discombobulated, as if he'd just been dropped in a Subway as a practical joke and had to figure it out.
3.) He was working on no sandwiches- nothing- and I saw that no orders were ready. I asked about my order and told him my name. He seemed a bit caught off guard- he walked over, picked up a receipt printout and looked at it, puzzled, and asked me "Adam?". I said "Yeah, that's me". I had just told him my name.
4.) He looked around and then tried to get centered in making a sandwich, but it was as if he'd never done it before. He then PUT AT LEAST TWO (UN-GLOVED) FINGERS IN HIS NOSE. Not wiped the outside of his nose, but like picking his nose. Right in front of me. That was too much. I know that a tuna sub can be finished in an empty, slow store easily in 20 mins, but this disgusting, health violating action when doing the most important part of his job was too much.
I said "I'm out" and walked out.
5.) He must have put "Order Completed" in the system because it said so in my Subway app and I was out of $12+ for the large tuna sub I never got because the conditions were grossly negligent.
6.) I submitted an official explanation on the app to central corporate Subway.
7.) I submitted one again, days later. I NEVER got a response. (THIS IS SEPARATE ISSUE FROM THIS LOCATION - CENTRAL CORPORATE SEEMS ALSO FALLING APART?)
8.) I found a phone # to this specific Subway location. The phone # ALWAYS gives an instant VM msg that no more messages can be taken at this number. You will NEVER reach anyone at this supposed Subway store number.
9.) I tried texting message to said # and no response.
10.) I finally was dwn in the area a few weks alter and went into the location. 3 guys were now behind the counter and when I asked the younger 2 if there was any manager or owner, they sort of gestured that maybe the older guy doing stuff with a sandwich might be able to help? That older guy seemed completely confused and perhaps hearing impaired (?), as when I asked him repeatedly about a manager or owner he at first answered as if I was wanting something sandwich related, looking almost pained by having to hear words and respond to them. When he finally took in my repeated clarification that I sought a higher-up, he said it wasn't him.
11.) The younger guys then said "Yeah, the owner comes in between noon and 3pm and that's the only way you can talk to him." They told me he will NEVER answer the phone.
12.) I grabbed a napkin and wrote my name and # on it, and "service issue" and gave it to them. They acted as if this was a far out thing to do but they finally took it and agreed to put it somewhere for this owner/manager person.
13.) No big surprise, I've never heard from anyone.
14.) It's not the $12+ I'm out for a nonexistent sub I didn't get, but the utter horrible lack of service, the complete seeming contempt for customers, the absolute elusive, ghost-like "management" at this place. One gets thensense this store is some weird write-off operat

We went to meet our friends at subway and when we showed up the man behind the counter was making to go orders. And as people came in he didn’t stop to take them or do anything more than look up. He had 2 AirPods in and his pants were hanging below his ass. Which I get is a style but not at work people. To make matters worse he was so extremely slow. The pace he was making these 2 DoorDash orders before even greeting us was enough time for my friends and their toddler to finish eating by the time I even got past the first part of ordering. He was rude and barely spoke and the assembly of the sandwhich was a joke. He barely closed it before wrapping it which made it fall apart when I went to eat the low quality at best sandwhich. The veggies were all starting to turn that like whimsy clear color since they’re were all first bitten from the cooler AND HE PUT IT ON MY SUB! I’m not one to complain unless it’s needed and this was needed. Whoever was working the night of 1/24 needs a reality check on how you present yourself and your costumer service. I know it’s a fast food place but nobody wants to see someone’s ass or get low quality food. I would have gone somewhere else and did Infact since ya know sandwhich wasn’t edible

Hard to believe Subway could have found worse employees than Jared but go to this location and you'll see why. I went 12/16/24 at 5:30 so management can see who worked...I suspect not every employee is bad there but this guy couldn't care less or put in less effort. I get that the job sucks but you can't literally throw the vegetables on the bread and not separate the cheese or meat and then be indignant I didn't tip you. I hate Karen reviews and have never done one but it was just ridiculous.

I spent 25 dollars for 2 sandwiches that came on stale bread, they said they didn’t have and BO or pickles and tried to give me the last of the tomatoes. Those 2 kids need training

I order online on October 1 2024 around 4:30pm went to pick up my order and they had a sign on the door saying they would reopen at 5:30pm showed up at 6pm and they were still closed . But they proceeded to take my money out of my account. I did receive my money back but the fact they were rude on the phone with me and to my girlfriend. They need to figure this out I will never go back to this store.it’s poorly ran .

I have never experienced such a disrespectful, disappointing and poor work performance towards customers from an employee. This was my first and last time ordering from this location, the employees really need to be evaluated on conduct because it’s sickening. Truly feel sorry for the young lady who is working there. I hope your parents raised you better.

I’m really not sure how or why this place is still open. Staff is unhelpful. Place is dirty. Portions are tiny . The prices are outrageous! Stay away and go to a better place as there are plenty of.

Hostile and violent! Stay away from this Subway! I have never been so uncomfortable in a public place. I entered the restaurant and sat down, the guy working here on 03/13/2024 rudly asked if I was ordering anything. I simply replied yes in a minute. My vision isn't great and I can't entirely read the menu behind the counter so I use the app to see what I want. I was sitting at a table maybe 5 minutes and he starts to walk out from behind the counter yelling at me asking if I'm going to order, I flip my phone around and show him I'm looking at the menu and say just that. He was hostile and made me very uncomfortable so I walked out and he yells out the door behind me "F#$k you your not welcome here."

I'd like to give a huge shout out to the staff at Subway for so graciously handling a couple of last minute catering orders I had to place earlier this month. The other food options I had planned for a training of 20 people didn't work because of dietary restrictions, so I called Subway to get sandwiches. They put together three big platters for us on very short notice, and were very gracious about the whole thing. Great people and the sandwiches came out great.

Been coming to this place for years. They always make the food right. Haven't messed it up ever The employees are always kind and friendly. I also met met the manager, great guy. Watched him diffuse a very dumb situation with integrity and kindness. To everybody working there, keep up the good work. 10/10 will definitely be eating here again
