Really enjoyed dining at the Gull. The best Seaweed Salad. Jack took great care of us.
Thanks for a great job

Loved this place! We went to the island to wander a bit and enjoy the sunset the week after Labor Day. It was windy and we were the only people on the patio as the sun went down before we went back in and sat at the bar. Sam was warm and welcoming, and answered all of our questions about life on the island as if we were friends, chatting over drinks.
The food was delicious! Unexpected Korean influenced dishes, really great.

It was a great dinner! Christian was a fantastic server. I am sorry I had the Halibut. It was so good I am not eating halibut anywhere else. This place just great. The views, atmosphere and of course the food. Go there, you won’t regret it.

Our server Christian was so welcoming! They were able to get us a table without a reservation (next time we will call ahead) and as a back up we could have sat at the bar but we loved our waterview. My tequila cosmo and my aunts negroni were mixed perfectly. Then OMG our entrees were so delicious (Lamb & Lobster Linguini) we were sharing off each other's plates. Thank you!

If you end up on Peak Island in Maine. Skip Jones Landing for a meal. Food was bad service was worse and prices were outrageous.

2nd night on the island we went to the Cockeyed Gull!!! Food was amazing. Views was great and our server Jack was amazing. The fact I know his name for this review should be an indication how much better this place is then any restaurant there

The Cockeyed Gull is our favorite restaurant on Peaks Island. The food and cocktails are always amazing! Great views from the patio, and you’re extra lucky if you get Christian as your server. He’s really personable, attentive, and gives great recommendations! We’ll be back.

I do not typically write reviews on Google, but our experience at the Cockeyed Gull was so exceptional that I had to let everyone know! We had an amazing experience at the cockeyed gull on Saturday, July 13th. Trust me when I say I have not had a seafood meal this delicious since our trip to Sicily. Spontaneously, we decided to visit Peak Island on our trip to Maine.

The frogs decorated around the restaurant were absolutely adorable. We loved the meditating frog outside of their beautiful pollinator and vegetable garden surrounding the property.

We made a reservation for 7:45, and they kindly seated us 20 minutes early. Our server Christian was highly attentive throughout the entirety of our dining experience. He always made sure that we were taken care of and our water was full. He spoke highly about the restaurant as well as our choices for food. We started with the little neck clams cooked in what was possibly the best broth we’ve ever tasted. We did not leave a single drop. Our minds were blown instantly. My main course was a linguine with cilantro butter sea scallops, and my husband chose the wasabi pea encrusted halibut. Both were to die for. The breading was the perfect amount on the halibut and it stayed on perfectly.

We were full from the appetizer and entrees but we were curious about the carrot cake. Christian insisted that we should not miss trying it and that it was the best carrot cake he has ever had. After trying the decadent cake, we agreed. The three layer carrot cake was out of this world. No carrot cake we’ve ever had could compare.

The view of the sunset over Portland’s skyline was picture perfect. We couldn’t believe that we had never heard of this place!

To top it off, we left our credit card at the restaurant and they kindly offered to mail it back! Needless to say, this restaurant will be a staple in our itinerary each time we have friends and family come to visit Portland. We would give it a 10/5 if we could!

First time there. Won't be my last. I'd even take the trip over from Portland just to eat here. The flavors were outstanding. We all LOVED our meals.

5 stars! First class food on a par with the best restaurants in Boston or NY with friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive wait staff. Highly recommend!

This was our first visit to Peaks Island for a weekend stay. Loved the atmosphere, the service, and vibe of the restaurant, but found the food to really stand out. It was fabulous!

We ordered scallops as an appetizer to share, which were cooked perfectly with a delicious dipping sauce. My haddock and my husband's swordfish were fresh and prepared perfectly with a lovely sauce to compliment the fish. My son's lamb dish was cooked well, with a nice compliment of side dishes.

We decided to share a dessert and ordered the lemon creme brulee. OMG!!!!! Between the presentation of the creme brulee being served in 2 lemon half's, and the light lemon creme flavor, it was the BEST.

This truly is a 5 Star restaurant. Hope to come back soon.

The Cockeyed Gull Restaurant on Peak Island exceeded all our expectations and left us with an unforgettable dining experience. Despite its unassuming exterior, stepping inside felt like entering a magical realm akin to a Harry Potter adventure - everything was surprisingly spacious and inviting.

Seating on the deck provided breathtaking views of the island, especially during the enchanting sunset we were fortunate to witness. The waitstaff went above and beyond, not only providing excellent service but also sharing fascinating insights about the island and its people.

Despite the restaurant being bustling with patrons, the staff ensured that we were always attended to promptly, ensuring our drinks were replenished and our food preferences catered to.

Speaking of the food, it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the pork bulgogi lettuce wraps to the spicy haddock bites, each dish was a symphony of flavors that delighted our taste buds. Even the classic cheeseburger was elevated to gourmet status.

While I typically forgo desserts, the tempting offerings at Cockeyed Gull were impossible to resist. The tres leches and chocolate truffles were heavenly indulgences that perfectly capped off our meal.

Having tried other waterfront restaurants on the island, I can confidently say that Cockeyed Gull stands head and shoulders above the rest. It's a culinary gem that's definitely worth experiencing firsthand.

Parking: Hey, this is an island! Parking is at a premium, but park a little bit away and walk to this beautiful place

The bulgogi is so amazing I took the ferry many times from Portland to go there just for that dish. Unfortunately I live in Biddeford so it's harder, but can't wait to go back. I highly recommend the bulgogi

Tiny footprint but mighty in service.Off season visit early April, the locals seemed to be enjoying the small bar while my wife and I waited for a food order to go.Service is absolutely top notch!! We placed an order to go as we were staying at the Inn nearby, the server taking our order was super friendly and brought us water as we waited for our to go order.Menu is limited to a single page, but to be expected on a small island as you have to think about the logistics of getting the food you serve on the island to begin with. The menu items we had were absolutely delicious! The steak sandwich was amazing served up on a ciabatta like roll, and the chicken tender plate had some giant well breaded tenders. Both were served up with perfectly crispy well seasoned fries. We look forward to going back to Portland Maine area this summer, and we will make sure to jump a noon time ferry to head back to the Gull, just a short walk from the ferry on Peaks island, and enjoy lunch and drinks on the patio which overlooks the bay!
