The Corner Room Italian Kitchen & Bar

The restaurant was ready for us with a beautiful table by the window, set up with a clean high chair for our daughter. The service was great and the food was all delicious - from the focaccia with olive oil all the way through the chicken parm and pasta special. Our son loved his pasta side as well.

The food was fabulous. Every ingredient tasted fresh, and the flavor combinations were simple yet incredibly impactful. We started with an incredible mussels appetizer served in a broth so delicious I could have eaten it as a meal, accompanied by two generous pieces of garlic bread. The focaccia appetizer was equally delicious, especially dipped in balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper. I finished with a flatbread pizza topped with prosciutto, cherry tomatoes, and arugula (rocket), which was the perfect size for one if I hadn't had the appetizers - so I ended up taking home half and had it for lunch the next day. Other members of our party ordered the hanger steak, mushroom truffle pasta, and the fresh fish of the day (haddock), and everyone loved their meals. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. This meal restored my faith in dining out in Portland, where prices have become increasingly expensive and, while the food is often good, it isn't always worth the premium.

We had the antipasti platter and garlic bread for our appetizers; the cold cuts were freshly cut and delicious. For our main meals we had the fettuccini bolognese and the penne Al Pollo also delicious. Sorry no room for dessert.

The food was wonderful and the service was standard but the noise levels in the establishment were insane. We could barely hold a conversation and had to repeat ourselves to our waitress several times. The main complaint is the over-served table next to ours. Clearly very inebriated and yet no one seemed to notice or care.

We had a great experience at The Corner Room! We had a large group with a tight timeline for dinner and the restaurant was very accommodating and made sure we finished on time!

Fantastic meal with very attentive service. Food and drinks came out in perfect timing. No waiting and everything was delish!

The music was awesome! The service was amazing and we all enjoyed our meals. The pizza wasn’t as amazing hence the 4 stars but woukd definitely recommend eating here!

Great food food, wine, and service. Large portions and reasonable prices. Only negative: Too loud and noisy. Turn the volume down and invest in some effective baffling to absorb the cacophony.

I would recommend less oil on the fish dinner. the plate was over loaded with oil too much

The corner room has a cozy, elegant atmosphere. The wait staff was very nice. The food was ok. My got ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and while he enjoyed the spaghetti and sauce, the meatballs were dry and tasteless. We ordered the arancini as an appetizer and it was served burnt on the outside. My dish the pollo penne was good. Overall it was ok.

We arrived at the The Corner Room a little early however we noticed people were seated. We were greeted by the most unfriendly hostess who turned us away because our reservation was for 5:00 (it was 4:42). The server seemed disappointed because we are non drinkers and messed up the order for the table on the side of us. Unfortunately the best part of the experience was the crème brulee and cappuccino. We dine in Portland quite a bit and probably won't be back or recommend.

Disappointing. Haddock special was uneven. Good but overly oiled fish and over cheesy risotto. I would have preferred a much lighter side. Appetizers were mixed. Great calamari when they were hot. Roasted carrots were good but the pesto was not. No focaccia that night (huge disappointment) and garlic bread substitute was over garlicky. Hot and spicy martini was not hood. Spice was nice, cheese taste in it was overpowering. My companions' meals looked better, especially chicken parm, but overall not a great night as it usually is.

The Corner Room consistently delivers quality meals with friendly and professional service. Our group had both seafood (mussels, swordfish) and pasta dishes (meat balls and bolognese). All were delicioys.

First time eating here and it did not disappoint. We were two couples. I had the seasonal white sangria. OMG, it was so delicious. My friend had a Cosmo which she loved and her husband had a glass of wine. For food we shared some appetizers including a charcuterie board, garlic bread, roasted peppers and beets with pistachio nuts and balsamic. We all had pasta dishes that we fantastic. For desert I had their raspberry sorbet. The best I have ever had. This meal truly was delicious.
