We visited based on the reviews and a recommendation from friends. The atmosphere was great, but the staff was terrible. The waitress was very rude when taking our order, and she even snatched a bottle of water from one of our party. I’d recommend visiting the sister restaurant/bar next door where staff and food were great.

I wanted to love this place. It was my first time here though they have been open for a few years. I am not a whiskey fan but I knew they offered other libations so recently visited to check it out with a friend. The ribs I had were very tasty and the whipped ricotta was outstanding! The pimento cheese was not my favorite. We really liked the warm atmosphere too. The server we started with while waiting for bar seats was very nice and attentive. The bartender however, was not hospitable towards my friend and I. He was very busy but for some reason was much more attentive to those around us. It left us feeling unwelcome. Sad to say that the next day at a different establishment, a young lady shared that she had had a similar experience there herself from a bartender we believe to be the same person.

I brought my best friend here cause she is a whiskey enthusiast. She recommends the Knob Creek 18 Year, ordered it Neat with a side of small rocks. Great espresso martini and banana bread old fashioned. Buffalo cauliflower was so good and saucy. Our server (can’t remember her name but she had short red hair) was so nice, knowledgeable, and accommodating. She even gave me extra cherries :)
Restaurant was out of a certain item, my six-year-old was devastated. Owner heard about it and did what he could to make her happy! He went above and beyond. Food was excellent, too!
Hugeeeee bourbon selection. Also served the best damn hot wings I've ever had...and I've had many. If I ever return to Portland I'll be here almost daily.

Bartender John mixed 2 great Old Fashioned for us. We counted almost 500 options. The atmosphere was really comfortable & the cobblestone walkway outside picturesque.
Came for the cocktails and they were excellent! My husband enjoyed the espresso old fashion and they were able to make me an aviation cocktail that was perfect! John is an excellent cocktail crafter and manager and super friendly to chat with. We came twice the drinks were so good.

This place had the potential to be great with all the bourbons, but the service was absolutely terrible. We weren't even acknowledged at the bar for 15 minutes. Like not even a hello, I'll be with you when I can. We ordered a couple, finished them, and no one came back for another 20 minutes after our drinks were empty. When they finally returned, we just asked for the check because we didn't want to spend our money here or waste our time with that service.

An upscale bar with a great whiskey selection, all of which was at surprisingly fair prices. I was able to sample quite a few bottles that I normally would not have been able to find simply due to their extreme rarity. Recommend coming out after dinner and getting a flight with a charcutterie board and enjoying the night, the atmosphere is excellent. The barkeeps are also incredibly knowledgeable with aligning particular bottles to your personal palette.
