Absolutely an amazing place. Big shout out to Ally, Cole and the Hostess all 3 of them are amazing and it was a pleasure talking with them. Myself and Fiancée went here 2 nights in a row and had an amazing time. The atmosphere was very welcoming, the food was awesome and the selection of whiskey was unreal. Definitely try the Banana Bread Old Fashioned. 100% would recommend this place to everyone. Can't wait for our next road trip so we can come back.

If you are in the Old Port area and looking for a great Whiskey bar this is a must stop. Fell upon this place on a short trip to Portland the staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They had an excellent selection and the atmosphere. We ended up going back towards the end of the night and the owner was in. He was awesome and I can see why this place was such a great establishment. Thanks for the great recommendations in the area!

In a town full of smash burgers, we were craving something thick and juicy. After reviewing menus online, we decided to pop into Independent Ice, a fun local establishment in the old port. The half-pound burger with blue cheese and shallots sounded amazing (see screenshot)! Unfortunately, we were disappointed to find out that the menu online hadn't been updated and that the burger was no longer available.
We powered through and ordered the smash burger and steak frites instead. The burger was average, nothing memorable, and the steak frites were a reliable choice, especially with the chimichurri sauce.
We do enjoy this spot for its open seating and lively patio in the summer, but be cautious if you’re making dining decisions based on their website. On this visit, it was a quiet Sunday evening with only two other tables seated, yet the service was surprisingly slow.

Must stop in Portland for any whiskey head. Very extensive selection (480ish) plus great cocktails beers and snacks. Great service from knowledgeable personable tenders. Shout out to Cole!
This was our first restaurant we got to enjoy in Portland! Food was very good. We got the steak with fries and the lobster cheese tortellini and finished it all. The bread pudding was so good we almost went back for that another night. Highly recommend. The bartender made our time there very memorable as he took his time describing each bourbon in the flight, despite being very busy. My fiance loves bourbon and he was able to try things other restaurants wouldn’t dream of having. Great experience!

First time here and the atmosphere was amazing. The food was really good and good portions for the money. The bartender was great, very friendly. We didn't care for Rachel G the waitress. Asked what other alcohol they had and her reply was we have a full bar. I asked for a specific alcohol and her response was no, then I said what other alcohol do you have and replied again we have a full bar. Didn't care for her attitude at all. She was very dismissive and her personality was one of a wet mop. With that type of attitude she shouldn't be in the service industry.

Finally tried The Independent Ice Co. after living in Portland for a year and my husband & I wished we made it sooner! The Ambiance is amazing very low lit and lovely. The food was all Delicious and the cocktails were fantastic!! Good customer service:) We will definitely be returning and bringing family and friends to this special place!

First time here last night. Won’t be back. Had an absolutely horrible experience with our waitress. I’ve never had such negative experience in a restaurant in my life. Honestly I’d recommend if you read this to take your business to one of the many other establishments in Portland.
