Lizzy was AMAZING, 10/10, we love the view but she made it an experience, Claire was managing and she was so present and so lovely, if you’re visiting Maine, Top Of The East is the place to see!

The short version: wouldn’t waste your time.

The long version: here for work, staying at the Westin the restaurant is located within. Came up at 745p on a quiet Monday. On arrival to the restaurant there was no one greeting or seating - no problem. Bartender flatly states “sit anywhere,” so I sit at the bar, as I’m by myself and don’t need to occupy a whole table. “What can I get for you?” - No greeting. While I understand everyone has their own battles each day and I’m not one to judge, there is a point where your “outside” need not affect the professionalism of one’s role. I order a glass of wine and the BLT Double Polar Smash Burger - to which I place emphasis on POLAR - as it came out ice cold. A smash burger is a thin patty, smashed, on the flat top grill; I was served two, cold, slider patties on a cold bun with cold bacon lettuce and tomato accompanied with a soggy pickle and stale chips.

I picked at it and eventually gave up. Bartender never returned to check on how the food tasted (no one was sitting at the bar, roughly 15 patrons in the entire place - it wasn’t busy). The 2 servers and one bartender had plenty of time to sit and mingle by the food window; during which multiple people walked in, looked around, and walked out.

Staff doesn’t really seem to want to be there, and frankly, neither did I.

Lastly, the very random Reggae music also didn’t fit the ambience at all.
