Wonderful place. I had the barbeque chicken, and it was delicious. The sides (slaw and mashed potatoes) were great too. The restaurant was cute inside, the service was top notch, and the beer selection was incredible.
If you like NC mustard-based BBQ, this place is OK. Nice lunch place. Hushpuppies could use more onion - and what self-righteous Southerner uses dipping sauce for hushpuppies? Turned out the sauce was needed. Slaw was good with a generous portion. Too much salt in the pulled pork rub.
Food was excellent. Don’t skip the hush puppies or the pimento cheese sandwich. So full that we got the bacon fat chocolate chip cookies to go. Can’t wait to try!!
