Today I had the best haddock chowder! It had large pieces of haddock, with a lovely buttery broth. Most haddock chowders at restuarants/cafes have mushy, small pieces of fish and are loaded with potatoes for fuller. Not so at Home Kitchen Bakery, which is the place to go for best haddock chowder! And it comes with a large, tasty biscuit!

Stop in yesterday for some treats. Picked up 2 cupcakes that were cold so I’m guessing made the day before and kept in refrigerator and 2 cinnamon rolls that had almost no cinnamon! The bread was good but $25.00 later.

Wildly overrated and overcrowded I'd been here only once before and hadn't been terribly impressed. Expect a long or very long wait not in keeping with the average quality of food. Service was good, not great. Everything was expensive. Benedicts with toast or polenta instead of English muffins is weird and the hollandaise was not pleasant. Vivid yellow and tasted harsh, not buttery and lush. Very very noisy and not very comfortable. It's not awful but I won't be back,

Absolutely marvelous lunch at this hidden gem. We figured it would be good because all the reviews were so good and it lived up to its reputation! We always thought that Dimillo’s in Portland had the best Haddock Chowder around, but they have met their match! Potatoes cooked just right and lots of fish. I had the fish tacos and my husband couldn’t resist the Heovos Rancheros. The only thing that rivaled the food was the staff. The hostess was a peach - warm & friendly with a great sense of humor and Kim, our waitress, was great. Very cute, efficient and friendly despite being busier than a one-armed paper hanger! Did I mention the bloody Mary’s? By the way - don’t go - I don’t want you to take my seat!

The food and service at this establishment truly exceeded all expectations. I cannot emphasize enough how strongly I recommend this place.

Well worth the wait! My girlfriend loved the gluten free pancakes, and I loved the service and my breakfast as well! It was her birthday weekend getaway, it was so wonderful to eat there!!!

The eclairs here are among THE best of many eclairs I’ve had - an abundance of light, tasty pastry creme in a shell topped with dark ganache. Large enough to share a second one:). Best to order the day before if you need a dozen.

Always delicious & friendly! I love to see what creative treats they are offering. Extremely talented cake decorating and are always mindful of my allergies.

We had a perfect sticky bun and lobster omelette. Best breakfast we’ve ever had out. Rolls were homemade and lobster was generous. Upstairs waitress was warm and helpful. Get here early to wait for opening. We just sat here smiling because we’re so happy.

Home Kitchen is always a stopping point on my travels up the Maine coastline. I have been here a number of times and each visit has been better than the last. There is always a line to get in but the wait is worth it. This time I tried the huevos rancheros and enjoyed it very much. Service is excellent.

Very long wait and not much space to wait in, but yummy food when we finally managed to get a seat. Their “cinny” buns are delightful and the best I’ve ever had. Would love to return, hopefully on a day they’re less busy.
