I want to start by saying overall amazing food. Authentic and homemade like I was back home in Massachusetts eating at an Italian restaurant. The only thing I would change is portion size. I left wanting more food especially for the money I spent. Maybe a little more pasta in the dish would have been good.Service was great and atmosphere was great.

I called about ordering a pizza by phone a few weeks back. You..( the owner) told me to do it online instead. Bro. I owned a restaurant. I am seeing the other reviews about how your service is garbage. Your attitude is garbage. And not willing to go above and beyond to satisfy a customer… you are clearly in the wrong business. I saw one of your excuses was “you had a bad day?” The others are just “sorry” “sorry” “sorry” You should probably sell and let someone more professional take over. You clearly have no clue what it takes to be a good owner/worker/manager. Feel free to hit me up if you need classes on how to serve the public like a professional. If I was the owner… you would have been gone in a week.

A bit above average Italiano cuisine. Standard menu that does not change. Food never seems to be piping hot and sometimes a bit undercooked.

Ports of Italy has the best Italian food I have had in Maine. They go the extra mile to make their food really special. Try the linguini con vongole and you'll see what I mean. I grew up in New York. Almost all my friends were 2nd generation Italian and all their parents cooked delicious food. Though I am not Italian, they taught me to cook and I am a good Italian cook. Good Italian food is hard to find here in Maine unless it's very expensive. And even then, it doesn't usually measure up to the fiod of my youth. Port of Italy is the exception - great food at reasonable prices.

Everything was amazing except the pasta with eggplant was way to salty.

Mediocre food at best, bland sauces, veal ravioli was ground and gritty, ink pasta with seafood was overly fishy and rubbery like a frozen seafood medly was used, lemonade was powdered mix used very lightly charged at $4 a glass, bread served in a rolled down paper bag with old olive oil. They're obviously cutting corners, and service was very lax. We won't be back.

We have eaten at POI in Boothbay Harbor a few times, but today we ate at the one in Rockport and it was just as amazing as the one in Boothbay Harbor. The service was excellent and the food was amazing.

Love this place! Initially, we'd been to the Ports of Italy in Boothbay Harbor, and we were very excited when this moved to Rockport. The food is not traditional Italian spaghetti and meatballs with red sauce type thing, but a higher class of Italian food. Make sure you make reservations as it can get busy quickly.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access in my wheelchair

Had lunch with good friend on 2/01/24. Nice place. Nice view of stream out back. However, the salmon over Caesar salad was dry. It looked good, but both fish and salad were too dry. Perhaps next time I'll ask for mucho dressing on the side.

We stumbled here on vacation. I'll never forget this meal. Started w the antipasto/ cheese board and mixed drinks. They have a great wine selection and serve aqua pana by the bottle, which is fantastic. Split a fresh caprese salad and ordered the black ink pasta and chef's special (halibut). Maybe the best fish I've ever eaten. The restaurant is beautiful, dark, and quiet. Overlooks the forest and river. The chef visited us and the waitress was very attentive. They let us linger on our drinks/ dessert with zero pressure. Only con would be that upon arrival the bartender/ hostess seemed drunk(?!) and confused; we had a reservation and had to sit on chairs next to the rainy entryway, until the chef/ owner came out and cleared tables to sit us. After that it was a 20/10 meal.
