Since they hired a new chef, the food just isn't the same. We always order garlic knots, mozzarella sticks, capricciosa pizza, and the bianca pizza. There is something different. It's good, but not as good as what it used to be. They messed up by getting rid of their head chef last year. It was nice to see a familiar face with the waiter, but I can't confidently say we'll go back.
We were driving from Camden to Brunswick when we stopped for "lupper," early supper at 3pm. Only people in the place at that time, but more came in while we were eating. Great, friendly service. We shared a white pizza that was excellent, and a meatball sandwich, again excellent, with fresh tasty salad. Will surely stop there again next time we're through on our annual "Maine trip" from South Carolina.
Boothbay Harbor's a little sleepy yet, but Ports Pizzeria's open; excellent service, vibe and food (the pizza, salads and mozzarella sticks are always excellent, whether Boothbay or Rockport locations...best pizza in Maine.
