The Chart Room offers a beautiful setting with an ocean view, both indoors and outdoors. The staff are friendly, attentive, and professional, making the experience enjoyable despite some issues with food. The outdoor deck provides a lovely view of the water, and guests can enjoy walks from the restaurant. Valet parking is available, and certain tables offer spectacular views, including sights of Mt. Washington and the beach. The menu features great fresh oysters and dishes that look and taste outstanding. The chef creates delicious items like clams that melt in the mouth and a tasty scallop entree. However, some dishes, such as the French Onion Soup, had bland broth, and the Braised Short Rib was overcooked and dry. The Black Point Burger was cooked perfectly and flavorful, and the fresh local oysters were nicely chilled. The Fall Salad was heavy on greens and light on other ingredients, with a vinaigrette leaning too much toward vinegar. The dessert options, like blueberry pie, are well enjoyed. Some guests noted that portions could be larger, and a few entrees were sandwiches, suggesting a need for more variety. The clam chowders were considered so-so, with lots of potato and not enough clams, and the baked Brie was tasty but served with very hard French bread that was difficult to eat.
