There is a nice mix of local foods in the retail area along with some knick knacks and games for the home. Though I didn't try one, the whoopie pies look delicious.”

“Shain’s of Maine is one of those places you just have to try if you’re anywhere nearby. It feels like a little slice of home the second you walk in. The people there are so friendly, and you can tell they really care about what they do.

The ice cream is Incredible And the food prices are amazing, too. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down with the family, you don’t have to spend a ton to enjoy something delicious which is super nice.

“We just happened to find this place after renting kayaks for the afternoon. The staff are incredibly nice and the food is amazing. Sadly, it is about an hour away from where I live, but I would gladly drive it to get this delicious food. Try it out, you will not be disappointed.”

“Great pub atmosphere with separate bar and dinner areas for quieter dining. Exceptional food at very reasonable prices. Pizza and wings are a staple and their extensive menu shows off many other outstanding dishes. Have been there dozens of times over the past several years and the service is friendly and terrific. While not a beer drinker, my friends rave about their in-house brews. Have never made it to dessert, but I'm told they are excellent! The attached Willy's Market showcases their sausages, meats, and sandwiches along with homemade salads and a Maine Agency Liquor Store.”

“It was busy when I go there on a Tuesday. Took a while to get a blt. It was a standard sandwich and the staff was pleasant. I guess it's been a while since I've ordered one because it was $10 which I wasn't fully expecting.”

“Most pizza joints in Sanford only give you a few pieces of veggies or a minimum of meat. At HR you get what you ask for. Want onions or peppers, you can actually see them. Not like Dominos or Pizza Hut. Talk about a House Special, nobody in Sanford can come close. The large loaded must weigh close to 5lbs. Their hot sandwich s are truly the best”
