My husband & I were passing through Skowhegan for the night and stopped in at Snack shack for breakfast. The food was absolutely great — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The staff was awesome as well: friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. You can tell they take pride in both the food and the service. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Hope you guys are just in a funk or something this is the 3rd time we have been recently and the food has gotten to the point the kids wont eat it, the chicken is nothing like it use to be the fries were stale and the onion rings were soggy and the coleslaw is horrible! we spent over a hundred bucks and the food proportions are half what they use to be and the food is no were near the quality it use to be! its just disappointing it was such an amazing restaurant for so many years!...read full review

Snack Shack Restaurant & Bar in Skowhegan is a gem. The food is consistently amazing fresh, flavorful, and made just right every time. The fish sandwich is the freshest ever, and the special chicken and waffles are really good, crispy and fresh. The best tots around are also available. The service and cleanliness are superb, with staff that is always friendly, attentive, and makes guests feel genuinely welcome. The customer service really sets it apart. There is a great variety on the menu, so everyone can find something they love. It is a family-friendly spot with games for kids and adults, live music, and outside seating. Whether dining with family or friends, the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. This place is perfect for passing through or a local visit.
