Just a complete bummer, everything tastes off, miso soup passable, sushi was ok, curry dish and fried rice were inedible

So delicious, cannot believe it wasn’t packed when we went at 6:30pm on a Saturday night. Everything was quick and delicious and inside is just so cute you can tell they really put some work into the space. They also plate the sushi (and maybe other plates but we didn’t order any other entrees) in the greatest presentation - even when we only ordered two rolls!
Tried the clear soup, the dinosaur egg (fun to get once but a bit too much fried for my liking), and duck buns - will be back for the lobster Rangoon
Had the Hawaii roll - probably top 10 rolls I’ve ever had the pineapple was such a unique touch and made the roll so good. Pink Lady roll was amazing as well and balance the slight sweetness of the Hawaii roll. I usually do not like avocado in my sushi but almost everything we ordered had avocado in it and I wouldn’t hesitate to get it again. My husband and I were worried the two rolls wouldn’t be enough but we were both stuffed.
Fairly priced especially for quality and quantity.

I got the sushi deluxe.
No stinky fishy smell, seems fresh. Rice a bit dry and breaks apart when eating sushi. Not very sticky, has a hint of vinegar and sugar. $24 tuna roll has a good amount of tuna, other pieces have nice and long pieces on top, salad and miso soup was okay, nothing special. Salad dressing wasn’t creamy and is average when it came to the flavor. Employees was friendly, inside looks great. Overall, it could be better but the fish itself self is good. 7.3/10. Rating would be higher if it wasn’t for another local place with better creamy dressing for the salad and overall cheaper price with same sushi quality.

This Japanese restaurant is impeccable and deserves a five-star review. Firstly, the service is outstanding. The staff are friendly and professional, consistently warm and attentive to customers. Whether ordering or dining, their meticulous attention to detail is evident.
The food is also impressive. Japanese dishes are authentic and delicious. The ingredients are fresh, the flavors are rich, and each dish showcases the chef's superb skills. The sushi and sashimi are particularly noteworthy, with tender, delicate fish that makes you feel like you're dining in Japan.
The decor is refreshing as well. The restaurant's interior design blends Japanese elements, featuring traditional Japanese simplicity and elegance. The lighting is soft, and the environment is comfortable, creating a very relaxing atmosphere.
In summary, this Japanese restaurant excels in service, food, and decor, making it absolutely worth a visit.

Nice surprise find. We were looking for a break from our Fried local Seafood meals on vacation and found this gem in Portland. They easily accommodated 15 of us and the food, service and price were all great. Super modern cool look inside and unexpectedly cool looking for a strip mall location. We will definitely be back when in the area again. You should check them out!

Gorgeous, clean interior with stunning sushi plating, and fresh, delicious fish. Polite and friendly staff. Love the stone basin sinks in the restrooms!
Booths were a bit too tight for my sumo belly, but there are also tables and chairs.
