Yikes.
I Visited the Popeyes in South Portland, ME today. Staff were courteous and order was delivered quickly. The chicken sandwich from the combo was good in taste. However, some fries tasted spoiled. More concerning, my sandwich had a container label sticker for mayo-sauce adhered directly to it when removed from the wrapper.

Five stars for consistency. No matter when I visit, I can count on waiting several minutes before anyone notices I’m standing at the counter. Even with multiple employees on duty, there’s a refreshing commitment to never rushing customer interactions.

Once my order is finally taken, the suspense continues: Will the food arrive quickly? Will it be correct? The answer is usually “no,” but I admire their dedication to keeping things interesting.

As a frequent visitor, I’ve noticed these aren’t isolated incidents as they’re recurring features of the experience. Some customers also seem to receive considerably more attention than others, adding an extra layer of mystery.

Most impressive of all is the occasional achievement of running out of chicken at a restaurant named after chicken. That’s the kind of confidence you don’t see every day.

Slow service and the restaurant was completely destroyed. There was no clean tables, the restroom was disgusting, and the trash bins were overflowing.

Sent my husband to get chicken and 40 minutes later he calls ! Just got chicken 40 minutes waiting at 5pm . Not right on a Friday night

Food is fine, but the workers at this location don't seem to be...aware that they have customers? We had 7 different people, myself included, just standing at a counter while a staff member pointedly ignored us with his back turned. Took 10 minutes to be given a preorder that was wrapped up and waiting behind the counter the whole time. I don't want to eat somewhere where I don't feel welcome or wanted.

Clean and super service. The chicken is great, nice an tender. The drinks were perfect as well as the price. Great job to all employees that work here.
