I wind up here at least two or three times a week. The owners are curators of their wine collection and will help you pick out just what you might like. By the way, the ratio of food / meat/veggies to bread is perfect in my opinion! Yes it's messy, but you get real food and not just bread. I also pick up last minute prepped dinners... Shepherd's pie, chicken pot pie... Great prices. Very friendly place, always happy to help. A neighborhood place. ..

Haven't been here in years. The sub making area is closed off by a wall of chips, and you order at the counter now. Just another tradition that Covid probably killed. Maine Italian sub tastes as I remember from when I was a kid. Lots of Pickles, olives, tomatoes. Single, thin slice of ham is rather humorous, basically a vegetarian sandwich. Classic roll for a Maine Italian, pretty much an oversized hot dog bun. Soft, spongy Wonder-bread vibes. Crunchy, fresh toppings. A large percentage of the store is booze and quite a selection if you want to give the liver a hurtin'.

Moved here from nyc. This is the best New York style pizza in Southern Maine imo and they have a really good selection of wine at reasonable prices. Haven’t tried anything beyond the pizza but haven’t wanted to since I enjoy it so much.

First time ever going there, tried the large ham Italian.Flavor of sandwich was good but the bread was so tiny had to eat it like a pizza because the ingredients wouldn't stay in the bread.It was almost like half of a regular Italian roll was completely under the toppings...I'd take an Amatos Italian over this any day.Don't think I will try it again.And when you walk in all you see is a crazy amount of liquor bottles which is kind of a downer for a non drinker and just looks unusual...

I love this place. Their pre-made meals are delicious and weigh about 5 pounds, they’ll last you a couple days!
Ordered loaded steak and cheese and got a mess of a sub. U couldn't even pick it up to eat it. It was soggy and slimy. I would drive 8 hours to new York to get a real sandwich before I would waste my time or money here again

Whenever I am in the area I try to stop in a grab a slice of pizza. The slices are a decent size, great price, and are very tasty as well. I’d recommend this location to everyone driving through this area who likes a easy and quick slice of pizza.

Excellent neighborhood spot. The best Italian sandwiches in Southern Maine. Great pizza with homemade pizza dough and sauce. Fabulous staff who are friendly and kind. If you like beer, wine or spirits they have what you need, including local brews. They also offer meals like pasta with homemade meat sauce and shepard’s pie. Oh! And pizza by the slice! Dipietros is my favorite place to stop for a delicious meal.
