This was my first time trying The Fries Shop after a friend’s recommendation. I was appalled that I had wasted $31 on this food and experience. Messed up my order, little to no acknowledgment or communication from staff. The fries were limp, they smothered the fries in runny gravy then dumped cheese on top- never had poutine that way. Boneless chicken was overcooked, and the S&V fries we ordered were pretty much just peppered. The mall was closing and attempting to correct any of the things would have been futile, and the person at the counter likely wouldn’t answer you back anyhow. I’d love my money back, they should just expand Panda Express next door, their line was 20 deep and they were engaging their customers.

Hey! You guys did it! 35 years old and I finally found a chicken sandwich I couldn't finish.

I honestly do not know what has happened to this place. I came here about a year ago and the service was fast, professional, and exactly what you would expect. Today’s experience was unrecognizable and deeply disappointing.

The person working the cashier counter could barely communicate, showed zero customer service skills, and had no apparent understanding of the menu or how food was prepared. To be blunt, his behavior was so off‑putting that I genuinely wondered if he was intoxicated. After paying for my meal (Order #10, Transaction #117124), I waited while another employee emerged from the kitchen, seemingly in the middle of prep, and attempted to make my order.

He did not even bother to read the receipt, which clearly listed ingredients I specifically asked to be excluded. I had to stop him mid‑process to prevent my order from being ruined. This level of carelessness is unacceptable.

Is this a joke? Is this truly what you consider acceptable service? If the owner were present and saw how their business is being represented, I imagine they would be mortified to see where their investment is going.

I had previously enjoyed this place, which makes this experience all the more frustrating. Unfortunately, based on today’s visit, I cannot say I would recommend it.

I ordered the Aioli fries, which come with garlic aioli, feta, and chives. Three dudes there working, straight out of Mozambique and seemed confused about the process and took a while to dump a gallon of some oil onto them first, and then half a quart of aioli. Somewhere in the pure fat goop there were fries. I ate a third of it maybe. Just pass this place.

“Can I have a korean bbq fries and nuggets, but hold the sauce, hold the toppings… you know what just give it to me plain and charge me full price!” Is what the guy imagined I was saying to him I suppose. At least he gave us a two squirts of sauce and a bad attitude when we asked what happened. Lol.

If you don’t have the food ready or are cleaning up for the night, don’t serve and charge a customer for the sorry meal you made.

Made the mistake of ordering the Classic Poutine. Served lukewarm and the cheese curds were cold. Not edible in that state. Never again.

For a 20 dollar box of poutine you’d think you’d recieve more than 5 measly little cheese curds, but.. I guess not :(

The aioli box is amazing! I love supporting a local business that tastes great and uses fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The boneless wings are the best I’ve had!

i definitely recommend eating here! Everything is cooked to perfection and the staff is very nice. Always a pleasure going there, they are so welcoming.

Absolutely amazing experience! The fries were fried to perfection, seasoned just right, and made with locally sourced potatoes. You can taste the freshness. The boneless wings were tender, flavorful, and really well done. On top of the great food, the team was kind and welcoming!
