This place gets mixed reviews, but I think their steak is fantastic (and I'm very particular about steak). I had their filet mignon again -- you could have cut it with a butter knife, it was so tender. Perfectly seasoned, great flavor. The two times I've eaten here were at the downstairs bar, where it's less crowded. It's a very popular place, especially in the summer when there are thousands of tourists in the rea.

This was perhaps the worst steak I've ever had at a restaurant. I had the NY strip, not seasoned, very thin cut. I make better steaks at home. Not worth the wait or the money. The only good thing about the meal were the beans and the bartender made a great old fashioned. Can't understand why this restaurant is so popular.

Had a family member who was in a wheelchair .entrance was on the back. So unpleasant near the bathroom. Wait was 2 hours, and seated . The hosts was so rude, and we were seated in a corner.. other people who where leaving. made Remarks they where being very discrimatory toward the family member..Will not be going back

The ribeye I ordered was according to the menu, well marbled. The steak was chewing, there was no marbling. The best part of a ribeye is the outer section which was none existent. What there was of it was not worth consuming. The Steak, baked potato, and asparagus with tip was $72.00. I will not be wasting my money at this place again. As far as the service, not great. I ordered a coffee and waited 15 minutes to get a spoon. The creamers had ketchup on them. The only saving grace would be the New York Cheese cake. It was delicious.

This is my favorite restaurant period. We open and end out week long family Maine vacation at the steak house. Completely worth the wait to get a table as well as the perfectly paced experience at the table. Nicole may be the best server I’ve ever had. She remembered my no ice extra grenadine Shirley temple five days after I first ordered it. #professional. She handled our giant party of 12 with ease, never batting an eye at my extra extra needs. The food was perfect. Lobster stew. Caesar salad. Onion rings. Chili. Stuffed mushrooms. Self made surf and turf of a large medium rare filet with two baked stuffed lobster tails. Ribs. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. Peanut butter brownie Sunday perfect cap to any and every meal. Don’t know if I can wait until next summer to go back, may need to plan something sooner. Can’t stop thinking about the perfection that is the steakhouse.

Just came back to Ogunquit with friends who haven't been to Maine in decades. I wanted to take them to the steakhouse restaurant in Wells and Tuesday we went there, I couldn't wait. We've been there several times and each time the food was delicious and perfectly cooked, not this time. The waitress was outstanding. Our friends really liked the atmosphere as we did. When my 14 ounce ribeye arrived I could tell it wasn't 14 ounces. It was very fatty. Then when I took the first piece it wasn't even warm. I said to my wife my steak isn't even warm. She said mine either. I didn't say anything because I really wanted our friends to enjoy their meals. Had we been alone we both would have sent our meals back. I would say at least 1 third of my steak was uneatable. In time's past I always get the same meal and it's been great, not sure what happened this night? Of course prices keep going up so even more disappointing. Next year we'll be back. I'll mention when I order the same thing that I want my steak hot and please watch for the cut. I'm hopeful.
I enjoy the food here but beware of the lobster stew scam. At over $10 for a cup, you would expect a full pour. This is how my “cup” of stew came out to my table. I immediately asked the waiter about it and he claimed he would discuss with the manager. He never did discuss with the manager so I asked the manager myself about it and she was flippant. I am a regular but feel slighted after this visit. I understand premium pricing but fill the damn cup!

Found HAIR in my house potatoes. Ruined my meal. Very disappointed and disgusted. The manager didn’t even come over to the table to apologize or see what happened. The waiter came back and took a whole $5.00 off the check. When I questioned the manager he said he took off for the potatoes. Well my meal was ruined. Lost my appetite after finding the HAIR! Will never go back there again. They do not stand by their product or have concern about their customers. My experience and meal was ruined and it still cost me $80.00 for a meal with HAIR in it! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I will never go back. I hope the owner reads this review.

Half hour wait was nothing but the furniture outside in the waiting area was covered in some kind of black soot maybe from the fire pits . Especially the metal chairs. My cloths and hands were covered in it. Complained to management along with many other people and nothing was done. Did eat and the food was good but when we left , every chair outside was being sat in. Very disappointed with the whole experience
