Or the grilled shrimp or tuna, both yummy. Cocktails, wine, espresso -- choices galore. gotta love the espresso martini, even a decaf one! Jazz or blues background music, no headbanger stuff. “We ate there for dinner for the first time last night. The atmosphere was spot on however it was fairly cold in the back room we sat in (it was a little less inviting of a room compared to the other spaces to sit). The music was not what I would’ve expected for a candlelight dinner but it was fine. The bread and olive oil were great, the hamburger was really good but the fries were nothing to write about. They were flimsy and greasy and barely cooked enough. My husband ordered the steak and potato fritters and he shared his “fries” with me. He finished my fries with the malt vinegar aioli. He said, his steak was pretty good but wouldn’t order it again. Thought for the price it was a small plate of food- he was still hungry and ate the rest of mine.
With all this said- the BEST part of our whole meal was the WINGS for our appetizer! They were amazing and we’d go back just for these! They are a must have!! Good portion for us to share! In fact we think they should bottle up the wing sauce and dipping sauce to sell, it was that good!! We plan on coming back to try other items! Next time I’ll take pics! Everything was well plated!“

“REGARDS is an amazing restaurant with unique dishes that I have never seen before. Where else can you get hamachi collar? Everything we ordered, from the burrata with salsa verde and country bread to the tamale with macadamia mole was balanced, delicious, and special. I wish I had more time in Portland to eat there again. The staff is also very friendly and knowledgeable. I let them know that my wife was vegetarian when making the reservation and the hostess noted all the dishes that were vegetarian and what could be modified. A very beautiful place. I'm grateful that I knew about it“
