“Bridge Street is one of the best kept secrets in Portsmouth. Is it even a secret, really? Set just off to the side of the main strip, Bridge Street is tucked in among the houses of Portsmouth residents. It is some of the best French food I’ve had outside of France, too. Their wine list is great, their chef is spectacular, and their service is mostly good but can sometimes be so-so (we’ve dined her probably five times and only had one not the best experience, so more good than so-so). Their Filet au Poivre and Coq au Van are two delightful recommendations and be sure you don’t skip dessert!“
“My mom and I met my niece here for lunch. This was our first visit but won’t be our last. The food and service were great. Portion sizes were more than we could eat. Thanks to our waitress for letting us hang out and visit for a while. Cool atmosphere too!“

“My salmon over lobster ravioli was excellent however my wife's linguine with clams was disappointing, there was no sauce, was supposed to be white wine, garlic, olive oil, and crushed red pepper (sounded great but was nonexistent ). The service was very good and the food arrived quickly, all at the same time. Deserving of a healthy tip. Our 2 guests were very satisfied with their meals. On the expensive side at $250 for the four of us with 2 drinks.“

Sat at the bar while our table was being prepped.Very busy place, 7:45pm was the earliest reservation I could get and it was a frigid February night.We ordered the short ribs and the seafood fra diavolo. Both were very good. Nice bread with oil.We also had the carrot cake, it was a trade off for no ceviche.“

“This place is seriously excellent. This is my new favorite stop, drink & eat place when doing errands in Portsmouth (they are located in Kittery along the way). I had the maple mustard glazed roasted carrots. My husband, who never eats carrots, stole more than a few of mine and enjoyed them. In return, I got some of his cheese toasty. With a couple of glasses of wine, this was a great mid day stop in the middle of some errands. Might I add great professional service as well. You really feel taken care of here.“
