By far the best lobster roll in Maine. Kate's butter really tops it off nicely!

Lives up to the hype. Worth the 1 hour and 45 min wait. The best lobster roll bar none and we have had a lot of them.

Red's is an experience, not just a great place for an excellent lobster roll. Expect to be in line for at least an hour, maybe more. Anywhere else, the inclination is to say "forget it; the juice ain't worth the squeeze". Every time we've queued up at Red's we've had a great time talking with the folks also queued up. It's part of the experience. At the end, Red's does everything possible to give the best possible lobster roll at a fair price. We've "dined in" on one trip, and taken our lobster rolls back to our camper on two trips, just because it fit our plans. Either way, in the case of Red's Eats, it's worth the wait.
Parking: Red's doesn't have any parking, but there is nearby on-street parking throughout Wiscasset. Given the visitor volume, finding a parking spot may take a bit patience.
Wheelchair accessibility: Access to the serving window is definitely wheelchair accessible. The on-site dining patio, however, is challenging.

First time yesterday. Beautiful day to go and wait in line (part of the experience). Based on quality of the food, I’m not sure the line could have gone any faster to serve people. Red’s Eats was the last stop on our Lobster roll pilgrimage. Lobster was tender and plentiful (definitely as compared to the competitors we had sampled). Exceeded expectations- which were pretty high.
Service with a smile.
Will be back o our next trip to Maine.

Waited in line for almost 2 hours. The lobster roll was good. The fish and chips were definitely not worth the wait. The breading was soggy with no seasoning.

It took us 1 hour before we got our lobsters but it was really good
I did NOT eat here, but stupid google keeps haunting me to review this place!! So, here's your review: My bf and I did a search for "Best Seafood" in Maine for a Road Trip we are planning. RED'S EATS consistently came up as "BEST," "HIGHEST RATED" or "#1 WITHOUT A DOUBT, HIGHLY RECOMMEND." So they are DEFINITELY on our radar and will be a part of our Maine Road Trip. Maybe we'll catch you there!

1st timer .. yeah we were 40th in line going uphill but '70s music, my son to talk to and the smells of lobster rolls going by me took an hour to reach the top but it was.. the best lobster roll I've ever had in my life.. had a side of scallops that were kind of tasting like fried dough wrapped around the scallops.. interesting but very good and the clams rocked. Service
despite all the people greeted you at the window with a smile and they met you out the side door with your meal.... Love to be back next weekend but we will have to wait till May.. awesome job guys and gals

Be prepared to stand in line, but the neighborhood is nice, so enjoy the people watching and maybe make a new friend while you wait for your lobster. This is a great way to get lobster if you don't enjoy cracking shells because they do all the work and you just eat and enjoy. It was chilly, so we sat in our car in a nearby parking lot off of Railroad Street.
Parking: You may have to walk a bit. The closest parking lot was a block or so away. If you time it right, there is curbside parking right where the line starts. Good luck.

Best GLUTEN FREE LOBSTER ROLL. Hands down, the best GF Lobster roll in New England. They use a locally baked buttermilk bread for an open faced style lobster roll. The lobster is FRESH and a very generous portion, and served with butter on the side for dressing your own sandwich. The bread is toasted to perfection. We waited about an hour in line despite being there when it opened, but it did not disappoint. The staff makes the wait more enjoyable with a PA system sharing frequent updates and fun facts, and when you order the staff is so engaging and kind. They care about every customers experience and it shows!
Dietary restrictions: Best GF option for a lobster roll in New England!

Awesome Lobster Rolls.
Best lobster rolls in all on New England.
Sooo much lobster (both claw and tail) that it was hard to find the roll!
Only negative was that the line was 2 hours long, even the first weekend of October!

We did it! 1 st visit. Waited about an hour but it was a beautiful day. All 7 of us got lobster rolls. They have a plated version for about $2 more for those who don’t do bread. Comes with local tomato’s on a bed of lettuce. Great service they have seats right there.
