My wife and I have been searching high and low for a top-shelf dining experience in Maine since we arrived. Today, we drove 2-1/2 hours from Bar Harbor to Wiscasset to eat at “In a Silent Way.” It exceeded all expectations. James Beard-level food and wine. From the oysters to the steak tartare and raspberry panna cotta, everything was magnificent. Well worth the drive. Confident sharing, In a Silent Way, is the most elevated food in Maine. And lovely service as well. Gushing.
We’ve eaten with here often and every single time it has been an amazing meal. The freshest everything. Thinking about IASW gets my mouth watering.
This place is perfect. Wonderful owners, impeccable food, delicious wine and a lovely vibe.
