Be prepared to wait a LONG time. We waited over 1hr 37min. Thought it would be fun to time it. Weather was very hot and humid - 90f. Lovely staff provided umbrellas to shield us from the sun and brought out water while we stood in line. After awhile you’re just determined to see it through. Although we saw 2 people at different times just give up and walk away. Food portions are very generous. We had the lobster roll and crab roll as well as a burger- onion rings - fries and...
There was a line but worth it. Go for the sea scallops! I had to try as a side. The fried shrimp were perfection. I liked the lobster roll. Generous portion. Special mention to the blue cheese and tartar sauce. Plenty of outdoor seating. They bring the order to the table. Remember. Cash only.
Red's is an experience, not just a great place for an excellent lobster roll. Expect to be in line for at least an hour, maybe more. Anywhere else, the inclination is to say "forget it; the juice ain't worth the squeeze". Every time we've queued up at Red's we've had a great time talking with the folks also queued up.
