Pretty disappointed with our takeout. Everything tasted like it was cooked in old oil, the chicken was off, and the scallion pancakes were burnt and flavorless. The Rangoons were okay, but nowhere near “the best” like another review on here said. We’ll stick with Family’s in Salisbury or Green Leaves in York — worth the drive for way better food.

Bamboo Garden is hands-down the best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to — and I’ve been to plenty. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles and that incredible aroma that instantly tells you you’re in for something special.
Every dish here is perfection. The General Tso’s Chicken is crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced between sweet and spicy. The Lo Mein tastes fresh and authentic, never greasy, and the Crab Rangoons are absolute heaven — golden, crunchy, and filled with rich, creamy goodness. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and take real pride in their food.
The portions are generous, the prices are more than fair, and the service is top-notch. The staff are attentive without hovering, and everything comes out hot and fresh every single time.

The best rangoons around and the owner and staff are amazing!! Our go-to for Chinese food in this area and scorpion bowls are my fave!! The only downside is lunch specials don’t have side that come with them like most places so you have to spend more to get what you want (chicken fingers for instance) and they don’t offer dinner specials. Still worth it.

I had to stop eating my chicken lomein. Have you ever had chicken that doesn't taste right — well that was my dish yesterday. I almost gagged twice so I stopped eating. My daughter felt the same eating hers. I have given up on having good chinese food in Maine other than Empire in Portland.
Food was good, service was fair. Little pricey but ok considering we were in touristy area. Issue: 2 adults, we ordered 2 diet sodas. They charged us for 4 diet sodas. Charged for refills. Not the end of the world, but left a bad taste!

Our hidden gem, and our go to place for Chinese food. Been going here for years, and my wife and I are treated like family. The food is consistently terrific (nothing like their hot and sour soup). When an accident caused closure of the restaurant for a period of time for repair, they were sorely missed. I feel as though I have been remiss for some time in not providing them the review they've earned.
