I don’t even really like potatoes, but give me a bucket of those and they’ll be gone in five minutes flat.

Listen, I'm a corned beef Hash in a can type of girl. Many times I've had "home-made" CBH in a restaurant and been disappointed. I made the decision to try the home-made CBH at Rick's... and it was magical. The corned beef was just the right toughness and the potatoes and peppers were cooked perfectly. The staff here were so happy and upbeat even on a cold Maine day in March. Thank you all for a great experience, I will definitely be back!

Carnitas phenomenal, I have had two different salads - both delicious and substantial. They always have a fun selection of muffins, they have homemade jam, staff have always been friendly. It can get quite busy but only because the food is sooo good ?

Great service, great breakfast and wonderful atmosphere. So much fun. I've been wanting to go here but kept putting it off, the parking lot is always full so what does that tell you? I'm glad I've finally found a new great place to

I like having breakfast there. Even though it was not on the menu they have turkey bacon. Their breakfast potatoes are good. They give a spoon in the silverware utensils which is good for me because of having a shaking problem n spoons are much easier than forks for me. I think their jelly is a combination of two jellies n its very good. I'd go there more often if i lived closer.

We found Rick's along US 1 after our visit to the Nubble Lighthouse. The crowded look to the parking lot drew us in. Good thing, too. The service was excellent and the food first-rate. This is a place where the locals eat, always an endorsement.

Best corned beef hash I have ever had. Lots of corned beef, potatoes with onions and bell pepper. Blueberry pancakes with real, thick maple syrup. Ever tried a fried Blueberry muffin? Well, you should! So, good. Friendly service and reasonable prices.

First, the woman who was pretending to be a waitress was horrible. She didn't write down our requests and didn't bring the right stuff. She could barely acknowledge you. Second, the food was terrible. I had half burnt blueberry pancakes that tasted awful. The bacon was well cooked rubber. What a shame. I had so much hope for this place.

Went for breakfast on a Saturday. Restaurant was busy. The host/waitress was taking names of customers for waiting list. We gave her ours. As we waited we saw customers who entered after us getting seated. We looked on the list and discovered the host didn’t write down our name. We told another waitress who then seated us shortly thereafter. I ordered two eggs, potatoes sausage and rye toast. The eggs were small, the potatoes had a lumpy mashed potato consistency, sausage patties and 1 small piece of toast cut in half. Food was ok. Would I return? Probably not.

I love Rick's. I first found them before Covid in York Village and was shocked to find truly good food at a reasonable price in York. It was even genuine Southwest food with a green chili pork sauce worth a long drive to get. Now they're on route 1 in the Cape Neddick section of York, and I love that they'ce been able to expand and find a more accessible space.Their all day breakfast options are excellent, with short order cooks who really know their craft. This part of the menu along with the conventional lunch menu feel like classic diners done right. The quality is good, the food comes fast, and they get your order right every time in my experience. However, there are plenty of good diners in New England. It's uncommon, but it's not unique. What *is* unique, and makes Rick's a rare unicorn in a white bread town like York is the really good Southwestern cuisine they have on the menu. Oh how I missed real Southwestern food living in Maine. It's spicy enough to notice, but more importantly, it's intensely flavorful.I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the coffee. They carry Carpe Diem. If you know, you know just how good that is. If you don't, try it. The coffee is full-bodied and satisfying. It's not the kind of diner coffee you can drink five cups of made like a weak tea. Even as a big fan of Carpe Diem I was very happy with one cup with our food. The last thing Is like to impress on you is the atmosphere and service. The service is fairly run of the mill. With how good everything else is, this isn't an area where they need to work so hard. The service is good, it's just not special in the way that their food is.The atmosphere is another matter. There's a deep whimsy and joy in the space fueled by unique and local art, eclectic novelty salt and pepper shakers, and a style you can't quite put a finger on due to its eccentric nature. I love it, though it may not be for everyone. It's definitely not straight laced and conservative in its display of color and oddity. It is, however, very fun.Parking: Parking is much better than their old location in York Village. Plenty of spaces for the whole family, though at peak hours you may want to carpool rather than take separate vehicles, if it's an option.
