They also had other fresh fish, delicious steamers, frozen lobster Mac n cheese, crab cakes, stuffed clams, New England clam chowder and more I'm probably forgetting.
The staff was friendly and easy going and my kids loved holding the live lobsters.
If you're looking for the place the locals get their lobster this is it, you can't beat it.

If you haven’t checked out Southern Maine Lobster Company, it’s definitely worth a stop. We needed lobsters and steamers for my brother's birthday this weekend and I can't recommend them enough. The lobsters are fresh, tender, and cooked perfectly (and they’ll do the cooking for you, no mess!). 🦞🔥
They’ve also got lobster mac n' cheese, crab cakes, stuffed clams, and some of the best New England clam chowder around. The staff is super friendly, and my kids loved holding the live lobsters, it’s a fun experience for the whole family.
If you're looking for authentic local lobster, this is the place to go. Highly recommend it!

Excellent business. Called 30-minutes ahead to order a steamed lobster and it was ready when I arrived. The lobster was delicious and the best price of all lobster I ate in Maine. These guys are the real deal.

This business is absolutely the best! We shopped around and found them to have the best price, service and overall quality and customer experience as the best! We get lobsters at least once a week and have never been disappointed one bit. Any size is available! Emily runs the front like a pro. Grab some of the frozen Clam Shack chowder from the freezer( it’s the best… we’ve tried a lot) and dinner is done!! What a treasure!!!

After visiting a nearby lobster place that didn’t impress, we happened upon your lobster company. I’m so glad we did. Friendly young lady up front who got our lobsters for us and was happy to cook them for us so we didn’t have to after a long drive back to Massachusetts. Great prices, fresh product, the best. We will be returning very soon. Thank you so much!!!

I made a wrong decision to choose this store. I bought 3 life lobsters. I want 3 female lobsters, but she only gave me one female lobster and 2 male lobsters. The worst things was all lobsters meat are not plump and had no good meat. I suggest you choose other store than this one.

Found this place after a local off the boat place that we usually always travel to from NH to grab lobsters... told us the day before they would be open "unless there is a hurricane" just to drive 2 hrs and find out they were in fact closed, even with an open sign up. This place, Southern Maine Lobster Co popped up on my Google finds. Friendly staff AND they have better prices! Our new favorite lobster place from here on out. Thank you!
