Subway in Kalamazoo

“My co-worker and I visited Walmart about 11:30am, we were not going to eat then, but the smell of the bread being cooked pulled us in. We waited in line and when it became our turn we were meet with a smiling face it was a lady named Kristina. Even though she had a line she made us feel that we were the only ones in line. The food was excellent, the service is quick & efficient she even made recommendations for us. The atmosphere was very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend a visit to see for yourself.“

“This is the best Subway in the entire Kalamazoo area .. in fact it is one of the best in the county. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the food is fresh. “I love subway flavor. Especially the new spicy pickle chips! Thanks for keeping those around!The workers are always hit or miss. The last few times I've been in for my normal sub with way too many pickles and olives, the request has been met perfectly.As for the atmosphere, it's always fairly drab compared to the old authentic look I remember from childhood. Bring back authentic subway and do away with this modern nonsense.That said, I will be back. More than I should. Because subway is my weakness. I love you subway.

Vegetarian options: As a meat eater with a vegetarian partner, I can't help but think veggie subs should be even cheaper. Without the protein, the subs cannot be nearly the same price. You are taking advantage of those who chose not to eat meat. Seems counterproductive but I get it, capitalism wins.That's my two cents.“

“Phenomenal staff!! The crew went above and beyond to contact me to let me know they believed my card information was stolen and was being used to place several back to back orders at their store.I hung up and blocked the first caller after assuming it was a scam (poor phone service on my end made the callers voice inaudible + I’d never lived in, near, or even been to Michigan before). The staff continued to make efforts to contact me from their personal phones, and when I finally answered again they alerted me of the theft. Because of their quick thinking and continued efforts to call me, I was able to cancel my card quickly without any major purchases going through! Their local police even got ahold of me with case number to give my bank to ensure I would be refunded.I can’t thank them enough for their consideration and kindness towards me!!“

“Was only one worker and she had a sling while working through tears, apparently she has a hernia in her disk and decided to come to work out of fear of being fired, my son and I felt bad for her and told her to take her time and that it was okay, we made sure she did not exert herself with sandwich making, she did well and feel she deserves a raise and paid time off to heal, her name is Alicia and she deserves an excellent compliment from everyone when you visit here“

“The staff is very kind and courteous the store itself has just gone through new renovations which now allows people with handicaps more seating options butt sorry no restrooms.

Parking: They have just done road renovations to open up more parking space

Wheelchair accessibility: Was recently renovated to accommodate more people with wheelchairs and disabilities“

“I don't want to hate anybody but I'm disliked by many people who are not my friends or my family so I'm just trying to be honest about this and we've been together for 14years and I'm still not sure what they want to do with us.“

“I hate to go into a restaurant close to closing time , I know people are ready to clean up and go home. Unfortunately I couldn’t get there until about 15 minutes to close, both employees were so nice! If it bothered them they didn’t show it. The food and service were great..“

“I'm not sure what is up with all the people who are leaving the really negative reviews? I went with my mom at 10:15 after a day of disappointment from everywhere else we had stopped, less than an hour before their closing time...and there were not only fresh cookies just off the cooling racks, but amazing friendly help who prepared us the most awesome sandwiches for this kind of fast food joint. They were friendly, didn't rush us, and were even letting guests sit to eat.

Looking at the other recent reviews...I don't think the business was having a bad day, but instead possibly reviewers coming in with preconceived notions they allowed to flavor their reviews and expectations. I hadn't read the reviews before going in, and I thought it was great food with friendly staff.“

“In reference to the review right before this one: them putting it in the paper bag was because it was a melt. They put everything on it, close the sandwich, and toast it in a paper bag. My little sister got a ham and cheese melt at the one in the mall and they left it in the paper bag there, too. This is honestly one of the cleanest Subways in town every time I've ever been in there (many, many times). Their meats and veggies are bar the freshest of any subway within a 20 mile radius and their toaster oven ALWAYS works!!“

“This is my favorite Subway. I place my order in the App and when I get there it is always ready. I order at Noon during the week. I get the tuna with extra meat. My sub is made perfect, exactly like I like. (I went to another Subway, last week,ordered the same thing and it sucked.)
I will be getting my work Subway lunches from this Subway at S. Westnedge & Kilgore.“

“I just had a wonderful experience buying a couple of subs for me and my Dad. I live down the street and sometimes Subway is what I am craving. I always have a good experience at this location. The staff are friendly and do such a good job. I like to get a foot long Black Forest Ham with some bacon. I usually eat half and have a nice side salad for a healthy dinner. Let's show our neighborhood Subway some love and the wonderful employees who work so hard. Don't forget to tip! They really earn it with their excellent work :)“
