Headline: Amazing local staff saves the day after a major corporate app failure!We are regular customers at this location and love the staff, but today we experienced a massive blunder with the Pizza Hut mobile app. We had over 6,000 loyalty points saved up and decided to redeem 4,000 points for two free pepperoni pizzas, paying an additional $10.60 online for a third pizza. The app confirmed payment and told us our order would be ready for pickup at 6:40 PM.When we arrived, the team was incredibly friendly, smiled, knew exactly who we were, and went to grab our hot pizzas from the warmer. However, the store manager's computer showed that we still owed money for the order. Even though we showed her our online receipt confirming we already paid, the system was trying to double-charge us while already deducting our 4,000 hard-earned points. The manager explained that the online system runs through a third-party service that they cannot control at the store level.Instead of making it our problem, the store manager went completely above and beyond. She looked at our confirmation, promised to try to get our points reversed, and insisted on comping our Pizzas for the trouble. I told her it wasn't necessary since this is clearly a corporate tech failure, but her commitment to customer service was unmatched.As always, the food itself was great and cooked perfectly. I am waiting to see if my points and original pending charges get sorted out over the next few days, but I cannot praise this specific store's staff enough. The corporate call centers and online apps are terrible, but the actual human beings working in this store are phenomenal workers who handle corporate mistakes with absolute grace.Highly recommend supporting this specific branch and its staff—just be careful using the app!“
