We hired them to cater a pre-rodeo reception for donors and friends at the MSU Pavilion and couldn’t have been happier with the food. Brynn made the process so easy, from offering suggestions when it came to setting the menu, to setting up the day of, and following up after the event. The food was phenomenal, we had rave reviews from guests, and I personally can’t wait to bring family and friends to Saddleback for dinner so they can experience it as well. This definitely won’t be the last time we hire them for an event!“
“Went here as other places were packed today and would say this is a great spot for fried fish! Split a white bass and a catfish dinner which had generous portions and came out hot and tasty; not oily at all. Didn't get a chance to try the chicken but plan on coming back; and had we had room for dessert or extra sides there was a huge selection of traditional cake, cheesecake and puddings as well as every side you could want (and even some I wasn't expecting like falafel)“
“I have lived in the area for several years, and drive past Dagwoods almost daily but had never tried it until yesterday. Wonderful food at a great price with great staff. I am personally not much of a sports fan so I didn't get anything out of having the games on, but I know that the main crowd is people watching various athletic events. Not my scene, but if you expect to go into a sports bar on a friday night and not have a game on, you are going to the wrong place! Food was great. We ordered the quintessential bar meal: a burger and fries, which was just spectacular. Two people getting a delicious meal for $18 bucks is unheard of in this city, but it happened here! We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.“

“The gentlemen and ladies here are always wonderful to see! I think I e ever only had one seemingly unpleasant experience and that was with a delivery driver who was delivering my free pizza. You could see he had assumed tip would be low to nothing but attitude changed instantly when that was not the case. “I got a huge order tonight. I did a door dash pickup earlier in the day and the smell of the food made me go back and get my own. Everything was really good. Actually seasoned, and massive portions. The amount of food I got for the money is really nice. There was a bit of a wait but they were super busy and short staffed and it was well worth it. Employees were happy and professional even under the stress of being busy. Best wings in Lansing for sure. I’ll be back for some catfish soon.“

“I went in at lunch time today, and it was a bonus for me as it was not crowded. But it was also unfortunate that I was the only one there during lunch hour, while surrounding businesses were thriving. I have not had a bad experience here in a half dozen visits or so. Today I had the Western Sandwich combo, which is a good size sandwich with two meats and cheese. I did the smoked chicken and delicious brisket. Great sandwich, I tried the potato casserole instead of the french fries and wish I hadn't. Basically dried mashed potatoes. The french fries have always been fresh when I've gotten them. I realize Dickey's is a chain, but I can't believe for the value and smoked meats that it doesn't generate more business than this. $12 for the combo I had today which includes a large fountain drink. Give it a try, especially the brisket (stay away from the potato casserole).“
“Again another $400 order and these guys hit it out of the park. The grilled shrimp looked a little bit different this time like they added some different types of seasoning. Man, I'm gonna have to order a lot more of them the next time because they went really quick! If you're not ordering from this place, you're missing something. “Very nice people in here. Always polite and ready to help. They are patient with you and willing to explain any choices or options you may not understand. When you order they immediately start making your order. This can take a few minutes but if you know what you want you can order ahead by phone and have it ready when you show up. Very good selection of food that is prepared well.“
