“The food was delicious and everything we ordered tasted amazing! Our server was amazing but I wasn't too fond of the manager walking around yelling at all his employees who were busting their butts trying to provide the best service to the customers. I've worked in restaurants for about 10 years now and I know things can get frustrating during dinner rushes. But being the owner of the restaurant and treating your employees so poorly while you have customers trying to eat isn't ideal. I watched this guy yell at all his cooks and servers. Also was rude to a server about a chair when they didn't know said chair wasn't allowed in the outside seating area. I really hope this manager takes the extra steps to pull people aside and be discreet when addressing something instead of causing a scene like we saw tonight. Other then that, we enjoyed this restaurant and the food!“

“We had such a great experience at Art & Jake’s, and Taylor D. was absolutely amazing! She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our entire meal. She was incredibly personable and made us feel welcomed from the moment we sat down. Our drinks were always full, our food came out quickly, and she checked on us the perfect amount without ever making us feel rushed. Taylor really went above and beyond and made our experience even better. You can tell she genuinely cares about her customers and takes pride in what she does. We will definitely be back and hope to have Taylor as our server again!“

“I grabbed lunch from here today for the first time. All staff I encountered and the owner were super nice, there was a nice selection of hot food and snacks, the prices were reasonable, and the portions were generous. I will definitely be back again. Hopefully, I can leave early enough to stop in for breakfast before work one of these days!“

“I worked at 1 out in Muskegon. Heigit was fire for no reason. And I worked at the one and lancet Michigan and I was fired for no reason but what I will tell you. Was they eat a bunch of free food and won't give you free food as a employee, but after a while, they free loan off of it morning, you in a way and kept lying in a sand that was paying for it? And I know when you work at some place like that. You can't buy that kind of food 3 and 4 times a week. Salama little smarter than a surveillance to ever peep out. But they're not professional people coming to work smelling like dodo. N a miners“

“If you're a transplant/visitor from anywhere in the south, this is where you wanna go to get some delicious well seasoned food. I moved to Michigan from Texas last year and the difference in food has been a huge adjustment for me. This is one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in the year I've lived here. I don't live nearby but I will definitely go out of my way to eat here again! Best fried catfish I've had in years. Thank you, Gregory's. It was a pleasure to dine in your establishment. ❤“

Although this Big Boy has done well at maintaining the classic diner atmosphere. There's plenty of room in between the new clean tables and chairs, the floor was clean, and service was great.
Food came out somewhat quick, it looked great, I got Cinnamon French Toast with sausage links and it was really decent, everything was fully cooked.
I was checked on multiple times throughout my meal.
Overall the eating area is much smaller than a typical Big Boy, and there is no salad bar or buffet, but they do have color televisions and a drive thru, so there's that.“

“We had a great night! The food was excellent, and the service was very friendly. For appetizers, I highly recommend the Texas Tonion. The Seven Chocolate Cake was delicious and perfect for sharing. The homemade lemonade and iced tea were both excellent, and the free refills were a nice bonus.

“Excellent food, with solid vegetarian options. The bar has plenty of pop culture and quirky decor. A laid back vibe and a good sized stage for music. Arcade machines and pinball throughout the multi-level venue. We tried the Vegan Green Curry Ramen and fried veggies. Exceeded expectations and a worthwhile destination if you looking for a good meal. Great atmosphere to hang out, play pool, have a drink, play pinball or classic arcade machines.“

My husband and I were both in a funky mood when we got there due to a little spat on the way, but the whole energy of the night changed when Tara came to our table. She was so funny and quick witted and had us both laughing and out of our bad moods withing the first 3 minutes! The food was great, but Tara was fabulous! “I've been to the Green Door more times than I can count. For much of my 20s it was a weekly haunt for me and my family as we sang karaoke here. We stayed with them through host changes, even briefly hosting karaoke myself (note: do NOT hire me to run karaoke, I willingly accept being about the worst host the place ever had) and we stayed with them through the downturn in service that the pandemic and the subsequent kitchen closure caused.
Now that I live away from Lansing, I still try to visit the Green Door when I come into town.“
