“Can't believe that I've lived in the Lansing area for 54 years and tonight was my first time here. Did try to go a few years ago for the Friday Fish fry but it was too busy. Went tonight for the Olive Burger and it did not disappoint. Tried a bit of the Greek Burger and that's what I'm getting the next time thru! Very cool place. Clean and well run. Service was pleasant and quick. Gotta put this place in the rotation! Lansing classic!“
“This is a cool little spot. I hadn’t been there in a few years, or since it’s been under new ownership. I went in there to play pool on the one Valley table that they have there. The owner is a pretty cool guy and very sociable. I hear he is pretty generous when serving drinks, if you get one. He plays good music as well.“

“I have lived in the area for several years, and drive past Dagwoods almost daily but had never tried it until yesterday. Wonderful food at a great price with great staff. I am personally not much of a sports fan so I didn't get anything out of having the games on, but I know that the main crowd is people watching various athletic events. Not my scene, but if you expect to go into a sports bar on a friday night and not have a game on, you are going to the wrong place! Food was great. We ordered the quintessential bar meal: a burger and fries, which was just spectacular. Two people getting a delicious meal for $18 bucks is unheard of in this city, but it happened here! We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.“
“The Ave is a Lansing staple, hosting some of the best food in the city and an awesome environment. You can have many different kinds of night at the Ave. You can go there for a nice dinner, you can go there for a drink and a show, or you can go there and get absolutely ripped. All are 5 star experiences, and the people complaining about service at a punk bar like it's an Olive Garden are lame as hell.“

“A really nice place to hang out and watch a chill band, play soccer, or play volleyball...or do all 3! Great patio with lots of well-kept greenery. Kudos to the plant people! Nice selection of food and wide variety of beer and beverages. You can also bring your doggo. You won't see anything from the road so you'll just have to go up the long drive to see for yourself. Highly recommend!“
“In my quest to find the best burger in Lansing, I happened upon the Rusty Mug. Certainly one of the best three burgers that I have had in Lansing....I would heartily recommend the burger with fried egg and blackberry jam...It was properly cooked to temperature (often people err on the side of overcooked l). The sweet potato puffs are also quite good. Rusty Mug is also across from Blue Owl coffee (for my money, the best coffee shop in the Lansing area). Enjoy!“
“Was there for drinks w/friends, turned out it was trivia night, so we joined.The guy running it seemed to have short man's syndrome. Were on the last question, had turned in our answer & we were done.I looked @ my phone & he announced that our team was disqualified, because I looked @ my phone. It's not like we could change our answer, which was correct... BTW.Bar booed him, but he didn't change his mind.Otherwise a fun evening.“
“We had a reservation tonight that we showed up almost an hour early for & with twice as many people & we have never felt SO welcome. The drinks were fantastic, the food was top notch, & the service was *chef's kiss*. 10,000,000/10 would recommend!“
“Ordered carryout with friends on a Monday afternoon. I got a Greek salad, but someone FORGOT THE LETTUCE?! Weird. Still yummy with a good helping of chicken, tomatoes, cukes, green peppers, kalamata, and feta. So only 4 stars. Friends' said their food was delish :)“
“The grinders are nice and toasted in the oven but they do not put enough meat on it. The price is $13.99 and we had double the meat at an upcharge of $3.50 and still not a lot of meat! They redesigned the seating area since our last visit, atmosphere isn't as welcoming as in the past, still feels like COVID nightmare from 2020. Overall, the food is good, service is great, and I won $33 in KENO!“
“Now, this is the first time I've eaten here! I've knocked the food two stars down to three because it just seems like more could have been done with it it actually was a quality product for that alone is why it gets three stars I think it could have been prepared and presented better. I knocked the service two stars not because it was bad service it was just not up to five stars or four as far as I'm concerned. The only reason I didn't give it five stars on the atmosphere it really wasn't that crowded, and it was still somewhat noisy place acoustically. I'm not sure why it's a little noisy in there, but it's a visually beautiful pleasing atmosphere. Is it cool little location down on the corner of Washington Square right down from the capitol. If you're in the area I'd give it a try if you're looking for something a little more fancy restaurant bar feel.Parking: Well, the reason I say it's someone difficult is because it depends on the time of the day you're going there and it's all street parking. you usually can get parking within a block when it is tougher times to find a place to park, Maybe sometimes you got to go two blocks. But most of the time, you usually can park within the block of the establishment you're heading for down in this Washington Square area.“
“The place had no more than 10 people which made it nice to meet up with some friends. I ordered what was supposed to be a blackened chicken sandwich and there was no Cajun seasoning on it. The chicken was cook perfect, just missing the seasoning.“
“Excellent burgers and great price. Beer is cold. They only had 1 waitstaff on besides a bartender on a Saturday afternoon, took a while to get some service but we were acknowledged by someone (not sure if he was a manager) so at least we were not ignored. Once our order was taken, drinks came fast and food shortly after. Great environment, music was great, keno, and cold beer! Waitstaff was very friendly.“
