Disappointing end to a longtime local spot:
I have been a loyal regular at The Rusty Mug for years, but after my experience lately, I will not be returning.
The biggest loss to this establishment is the departure of Melissa, the former bar manager. To be frank, she was the glue holding this place together. I absolutely love coming here to watch a game. The staff is always super friendly and the food/drinks are fantastic! Highly recommended!!

The Rusty Mug | Westside offers a bar atmosphere with a dining area where guests can actually talk. The food is absolutely amazing, wonderful, and spot on good tasting. Popular menu items include Brussels sprouts, Pop goes the weasel with the pretzel, sweet potato tots, nachos, fish, and roast beef on cholow bread. Drinks are well made. The service is great and awesome. Staff asked if guests were there for the game and changed the channels. There is a pool table. The place is a cool somewhat of a dive bar, with prices and atmosphere giving a Norm Peterson vibe. A drawback mentioned were the metal chairs. This will be a frequent stop when traveling through Lansing.
