“A popular meeting place for locals. Authentic American mood. I visited for the first time more than fifty years ago. ???
The music was too loud for me. However, Wagon Wheel is a place for food and socializing, not a place to dance.

Parking: The parking area is large, but everyone comes with their own car.

Kid-friendliness: Children can be brought along during the day.“

“We aren’t from Portland but make the drive because we love the atmosphere. Crystal is amazing with kids and whenever we ask our two kids where they want to eat they go just to see her. The outdoor area overlooking the river is really nice too!“

“We stopped in while passing through town and we are so glad we did. The beer selection had something for everyone! We shared a flight and each beer was better than the last. The staff was fun, friendly, and knowledgeable, and the brewery itself was so laid back and had such a cool vibe. We ended up ordering a snack which was also amazing. Can’t recommend this brewery enough. We will make a point to visit next time we are nearby.“

“Cool bar right in the downtown area. Cool decor, friendly atmosphere, great drinks, music, and things to do (pool tables, darts, etc)I’m from out of town and i chatted it up with the owners who are great people!!Definitely a place to check out if you are in town!“

“Love the food! My only request is that there be more beer cheese on the pretzel burger. The first time I got it, it was out of this world because the cheese was oozing off it. The second time, I could barely taste it. Made me sad because I had been craving it.“

“Nice, small spot in Muir that has homestyle cooking. One of the best places to eat within a 30 mile radius. We got the western omlett, steak and eggs, side of fries, pop and kids pop for 40 dollars including tip. Portion sizes are big food is hot and well worth the money. Stay tuned for updated pics of more food, we def plan to go back.“

“This is a great place to eat tucked away in the middle of nowhere. It's worth the drive. Remember, this is a bar / sports bar not the Hilton so don't all you " negative Nellie's " rip on this place. Our experience was great, friendly, knowledgeable server, hot, fresh food and clean establishment. I'll be bock !!!!“

“A very friendly bar that we have loved to go to for probably the last 10 12 years. The owner is a great gal and the clientele are always friendly. Schafers always feels like at at home bar. We have no problem driving from Portland Westphalia to have a cold beer or a drink it's certainly worth it. I have met so many wonderful people here over the years. We do not mind that they don't have food because we always run down to Diana's and get subs and Schafer's doesn't care if you eat them there.“
