Outstanding experience. Doug was extremely welcoming and took the time to explain his suggestions. This is not your .50c per donut shop, but if you’re looking for a quality donut all while supporting a local small business this is your place.
The size was nice, the taste was OK, but I do not know how fresh they were. We had a cream filled eclair and a chocolate covered sprinkle donut. The chocolate on the chocolate-sprinkle donut fell off in large chunks as it was being eaten. The chocolate on the eclair stayed on as I ate it, but the eclair felt a little stale to me as well compared to others I have eaten in my travels.

We were excited to see that Alpena has a Cops and Donuts now. Excellent donuts at a fair price for freshly made bakery donuts. They have several breads, desserts, etc. You can sit down with a cup of coffee to enjoy your donuts or take them home. They will moving to a new location after Punzchi Day.
