Food is serviceable at best, the pizza is fine and the staff are kind and seem to know their customers. Things can be a bit dark, its a bit hard to navigate the interior. The place is usually busy when we go so things are a tad too loud for enjoying a meal or going on a date.

I had a really good lunch at JJs. It's one of those places I wish I was able to give an extra half star rating and make it a 3.5. Server was absolutely delightful. Restaurant had a cool vibe about it and the food was better than good. The taco salad was huge and the bite I had was very good. I had the French dip and fries. Fries were perfectly cooked and the sandwich was also really good. The only improvement I could suggest would be to toast the hoagie roll on the French Dip, which they may have done if I had asked. Otherwise I loved it and I will definitely be back next

My wife and I stopped in on an overnight stay in Alpena. It is located in an office building so it might be slightly difficult to find.We had deep dish pizza and breadsticks with a local Blake’s Hard Cider. If I’ve ever had a better pizza I don’t remember when. It was thin bottom and very light on the sauce, just enough to keep the bread moist and lots of topping (in our case mushroom, onion, green pepper, and ground beef) and cheese. It was just as good cold the next morning.The service was amazing. We were there on a Saturday night so it was busy and it took a bit to be seated but we were acknowledged as soon as we walked in which for us makes all the difference.I only marked the atmosphere 4 stars because it is more of a bar than a restaurant and that’s not usually our thing. However, it was small town bar and that’s ok.

The pizza was burnt the lady who took my order rude as hell and didn't even complete my orderHonestly your delivery guy is what saved the rating very polite and fast deliver.
Good place to eat. Sports bar atmosphere but the food is good enough to tolerate the sports stuff unless you are a sports fan. Then you'd really enjoy the place.
