Whenever we would come up to Alpena to visit my parents, JJ’s was always a mandatory place to get dinner at least once while in town. My favorite being their BLT pizza and French Tip sandwich. A great spot in Alpena. They were very busy when I arrived for dinner. I got the last table. A good sign. Everyone was very friendly and service was excellent. I had the pizza. It didn't disappoint.
Our server, Lynn was excellent. The food was excellent. Portions and price were excellent. The only reason I’m giving them four stars instead of five is that the hostess was not so wonderful. Her tone and interaction style was a bit abrasive and more suited for a prison cafeteria.
