In our hometown of Alpena for the week of 4th of July. We hail all the way from our home in colorful Colorado. it's been about 7 years since we last visited Alpena. So much has change... yet... it is still mostly the same. One thing that changed was that there is a new mom and pop general store and bakery over on the corner of W. Washington Ave and N. Great bakery with fresh hand rolled bagels and lots of treats located inside the Alpena General Store, the staff is great and the farm fresh meat is locally raised and taste great!!

Third Coast Bakery is a absolute favorite of mine, and discovering that Thunder Baykery carries their goodies was a delightful surprise! The selection is fantastic – I was there recently picking up some vegan treats for Thanksgiving and snagged a delicious pumpkin pie. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even better!
