Walked in and no one to greet or seat you right away. Our waitress was friendly, but could tell the place was understaffed. First thing she brought out waters which was nice but with no ice. Ordered the pretzel for appetizer, wow what a joke. Literally one small frozen pretzel on a small salad plate, the cheese to dip the pretzel in did not taste like a yummy beer cheese. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and I thought the meat tasted very good and was juicy. Sauces on the other hand…..they need more choices. Wasn’t really impressed for a downtown Ann Arbor restaurant.

Honestly terrible bbq. The brisket was old and dried out atleast a couple days old. The ribs were hard and chewy and came as a slab instead of cut into bones. The Mac and cheese was just boiled noodles with minimal cheese or butter. Nothing was fresh. Good service.

We visited on a Saturday evening at about 6pm, party of 5. We walked right in and sat down, no wait. I ordered a beer, the POLOTMAVÉ, a Czech Amber, which I quite liked. For dinner I got a BBQ platter with sliced beef brisket and smoked chicken. The brisket was an up charge. I found the chicken to be nothing special, dry and somewhat bland. The various sauces helped. The brisket was better, but for this price (and the up charge) I was surprised how little meat there was on this "platter". I had baked beans and mashed potatoes as sides, neither of which was anything special. All the food was fine, but for these prices I would expect more (nearly $40 for my meal). The topper was the 3% excess cost charge added to the bill (not a credit card surcharge, which I'm fine with if notified up front, just a flat out additional 3% charge on the bill). I found that to be excessive, especially at this already high prices. I have no problem spending for great food, but for these prices there are far better choices in Ann Arbor. I would recommend passing on this one, or maybe just stop in for a beer (which I did enjoy) and an appetizer.

It is just too dark in there. Why ? So you can't see the burnt food. How callous that the cook and the waitress brought that out.

Went to blue tractor for “brisket and brews” event. It was amazing. The chef, Steven, explained brisket in detail and demonstrated how to trim it. Lots of fun learning about this. The beers were great, expertly paired. I highly recommend them!

Very standard barbecue place. I could tell they were mass-producing smoked meats for a restaurant since I have had a comparison between smaller barbecue places out of a small building and serving until there was none left.

My boyfriend and I met a friend here for dinner on a weeknight. He had been there several times and told me how good the food was, as I had never been. Our waitress was having an "off" night or possibly was new to the position. Either way, she was kind but not on point.Food was pretty good.

Tried them out while we were in town. It was the worst barbecue ever unfortunately. My ribs were blacked and tough, corn bread was hard as a rock , and everything was cold. Super disappointed for the price we paid and can’t say we would ever give it another try. Just an all around bad experience at a restaurant. I don’t typically write reviews but when you spend $100 on food you can’t eat, it feels like others need to know.
