First Watch in Ann Arbor, Michigan has consistently impressed me across three visits. While the atmosphere may initially seem modern and perhaps a bit pretentious, the quality of their food speaks volumes. Their commitment to using fresh, delicious ingredients shines through in every dish, whether it's the spring special Hacienda hash or a classic BLT. The menu offers a diverse range of options to cater to different flavor preferences.Be prepared for a bustling crowd, especially on Sundays. Arriving early is advisable to avoid long wait times, which can range from 30 to 90 minutes. Despite the popularity, the prices remain competitive, making it an excellent choice for treating friends and family to local flavors without breaking the bank. Overall, I would rate First Watch in Ann Arbor a solid 8/10 for its impressive culinary offerings and inviting ambiance.Dietary restrictions: They will ask before ordering your meals but they are open to working with any restrictions you may have.Parking: More spots available then there are seats in the restaurant as it's in an outlet mall

This just became of our new favorite brunch spots in the Ann Arbor area. First of all, parking is much easier to find than for many downtown spots. There’s a free lot with plenty of space. On a Saturday morning, the place was filled to capacity but our wait was only 10 minutes long. The service was quick and all staff are friendly and patient. Our food came out in just under ten minutes, which is surprising considering the amount of people there. The carrot cake pancake was to die for and my husband raved about the chickichanga. The coffee is bottomless and very well brewed. The juices are also bold and fresh in flavor and quality. Paying for food is efficient- either scan a QR code or pay up front. Overall, prices are average for brunch. Highly recommend stopping by!Parking: Tons of parking available

Food was really good. Just wasn't thrilled that there were several tables open and we were seated right next to 2 people. They were literally 2 feet from us. Waitress was super nice. I have hearing loss tho and the music was too loud and I had to rely on my husband to tell me what was said.

I had the French Toast and coffee which were very good!My only critiques are that I never had a visit from a server. When the food was delivered, I was asked if I needed Maple, sugar free, or house syrup. I requested Maple but I never seen a server or the syrup. The only visit that I received was from the busser who politely asked if he could retire my dishes. The attendant who checked me out asked how the visit was and responded with a simple, "These are the things that I need to know for improvement."Very true but there was no effort in making things right for the guest.

Truly this place is very good. Anytime I’ve been asked about my service I’ve been honest. Today Ryan asked me and I told him it was ok and he asked me what could be improved. I stated that our waitress isn’t educated in the menu and it put a small damper on our meal. He reassured me there would be more training and conversations. Which truthfully shocked me. I thought my comment would be dust under the rug. 95% of my experience here has been positive. Out of the several months I’ve been coming, I’ve only had poor service from one other waitress and I never see her there anymore.Recommendations: the fresh juice, Kale Tonic, Morning Sunrise, and their seasonal fresh juices.Alcoholic: Spiked lavender. Frittatas are amazing. Salmon egg Benedict is great. The bacon avocado egg sandwich is popular amongst my family, All of their seasonal foods have been great as well. My daughter loves the French toast and their sausage. The donut holes are great. Million dollar bacon is okay. Serving size is great for price.Very cute space and I love the blackboards ??❤️Thanks Ryan for the consideration and hospitality
