I first went to Frank’s in the fall of 1983 for Sunday dinner because the dorms only had two meals on Sundays. And I have been stopping by Frank’s off and on ever since. People have rave about Zingermans and Angelos, but for me, Franks is an A2 diner classic that offers great breakfast (love the French toast) and lunch (classic diner burger) at reasonable prices. I hope Franks can outlast me!
I had great three egg omelette and chatted with the kind waitress at the counter. She told me how Franks dates back almost 100 years, and the pictures on the wall are a testament to that. Hard not to feel nostalgic in a place like Frank's. Two thumbs up from a sparty who stopped in while in town. πŸ‘πŸ‘
Frank's is a great hole in the wall diner. My wife and I planned a random trip to Ann Arbor, random road trips are the best. We looked up breakfast and made the best decision on a whim. I got steak and eggs steak was a perfect medium rare and the eggs perfect as well. Got a side of hashbrowns, because potatoes are necessary. My wife got a two eggs breakfast and was really happy about the scrambled eggs. In my opinion a must stop.
