Disappointing Experience at Frita Batidos –
Few hours ago I visited Frita Batidos in Ann Arbor, excited to try out their food. Unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. I ordered two sandwiches to-go, one for myself and one for my wife ( she was not with me) . After receiving my food, I simply decided to eat my sandwich while hot outside on the corner of a bench in front of the restaurant. However, to my absolute unpleasant surprise, a staff member quickly approached and informed me that the "management would NOT ALLOW to sit and eat because I had ordered the food to-go.
What’s even more ridiculous is that I wasn’t taking up space inside—and It is a fast-casual restaurant , not a high end elegant fine dining restaurant, yet they enforced this absurdly rigid rule without any flexibility. I was a paying customer who had already left a tip, and to be told that I couldn’t even enjoy my meal on-site.
This experience left such a bad taste in my mouth that I didn’t even bother trying the food—I just walked out. I can’t speak to the quality of their food because the unwelcoming environment made me lose all interest. It’s beyond disappointing that a place with decent reviews would enforce such a harsh, nonsensical policy without any regard for customer service.

The energy in Ann Arbor is palpable, with fans pouring in from every corner for the Michigan vs. USC game. But inside Frita Batidos, I’ve found something even more important than the score: a frosty, glass-bottled Mexican Coca-Cola. You know, the real deal. None of that high-fructose nonsense—just pure cane sugar goodness.
As I twist off the cap with the kind of reverence typically reserved for sacred artifacts, I can hear the fizz bubbling up in anticipation. The first sip? Glorious. Crisp, cool, and refreshingly smooth. The carbonation dances lightly across my tongue, like the pre-game jitters before kickoff, but this time, it’s all celebration.
While the rest of Ann Arbor is focused on touchdowns and tailgates, I’m here celebrating this bottle of perfection. If you're the kind of person who appreciates the finer things in life—like a Coke served the way it’s meant to be—then this one's for you. Also, nom nom, French fries.

Very good food! They use a different fryer if you have food allergies! It just takes longer!

Amazing food plus friendly and helpful staff. The staff noticed my father who uses a walker waiting in line. They came and pulled us out of line and helped get a table and made the whole experience smoother for him. Thank you ?
Wheelchair accessibility: The staff noticed us in line and came to help make it easier. We were seated outside, and they let us order from the table, saving the need to go inside.

I think the Chicken ? Burger ? with egg hits the spot after 18 Holes ?️ of golf ⛳️. But the line is LONG . So you’ll have to be patient

What a fantastic meal. Omg. I seriously can’t believe how good this was. My chicken sandwich was out of this world! The coconut batido was the most delicious cold drink I’ve ever had. I seriously can’t wait to go back here. Even on a very busy day after a U of M game, the service was quick and efficient. Food was literally off the chain. I cannot wait to return.

This place was incredible! We came into Ann Arbor late looking for a place to eat that didn’t require reservations, and had fresh/healthy options. We were in luck! We both got the bowls with chicken and plantains. All delicious and fresh. Also if you’re a ginger fanatic like I am, don’t snooze on the fresh ginger and lime juice!
Also there’s a large parking lot ( not garage!) that charges 3 dollars an hour right next to the restaurant.
