This is my absolute favorite restaurant in the Ann Arbor/ypsi area. It's like getting a home cooked meal at your neighbors house and not just at some restaurant and the food is top tier. Definitely a hidden gem. Comfortable environment. I prefer a more traditional jerk chicken with rice& peas and cabbage with a side of plantains. But if you're going to try this for the first time I recommend the jerk chicken pasta.

Jamaican Jerk Pit has been one of my favorite local spots since this location first opened. The food always goes hard, the flavors are bold, and everything tastes like it was made with real care. I have kept coming back for years because it consistently delivers exactly what I want. This place has earned my full support and remains one of the best spots around.

I'm not from or do I live in Ann Arbor but where I stop is at the Jamaican Jerk Pit. I had a taste for Jamaican, Beef Patty and this place was identified as the number one location in the city to go to for anything Jamaican. The atmosphere is cozy, the people are friendly, polite, and helpful. After I ate the first patty, I bought all of the beef and chicken! They also make a vegetarian style patty for those who are not carnivores. My go to dishes are the Curry Goat and Ox...
