“My sister and her boyfriend introduced me to this. I’ve lived in neighboring cities and had frequently visited Ann Arbor and had never been here. Great size for cost and THE best Bop I’ve ever had. I’ve been to authentic Korean restaurants and hands down I wish I would of bought more to have the next day. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone.“

“Such a great place to eat out at! The food comes out fairly quickly but the presentation is flawless and beyond delicious.
All menu items are worth trying at least once. Very much looking forward to coming back! Only thing I'd love to see is more varied local art on the walls!
10 out 10!!!“

“No tables, just bar style seating. Told us to sit next to the only group of people inside when there was plenty of seats available. We have to pour our own water. Brought out my girlfriend’s soup before all the food was done. Cooked my food on a grill in front of us. My lady hate eating cow but kept stealing my beef bites. Super tasty and love the atmosphere. 10/10 highly recommended!“

“The staff took exceptional care of our party of 10 for my husband's birthday. The food was fabulous and the service friendly and kind! Not to mention, the karaoke room was great fun (though it gets kind of warm in that small karaoke room.) Thanks for a terrific night out!“

“Bewon is a hidden gem that offers a meal and an experience of warmth, authenticity, and tradition. Located in Ann Arbor, this charming restaurant serves some of the best Korean food in Michigan, and every visit feels like being welcomed into a family home. When you enter, Mr. Jin greets you with a smile and a comforting cup of hot barley tea. The food is always fresh and mouthwatering, cooked with high-quality ingredients. Mrs. Jin goes the extra mile to ensure your experience is flawless. She checks on your table, offering banchan (side dishes) refills and ensuring you enjoy your meal. At the end of your visit, Mr. and Mrs. Jin bid you farewell with kindness, and Mrs. Jin's warm hugs make you feel like you just visited your own eomma's (mom's) kitchen. The dining area is adorned with colorful orchids by the windows, and the presence of local Korean patrons further assures you that this is the real deal for authentic Korean cuisine. Though it is a 40-minute drive from Toledo, it is worth it for the exceptional food, reasonable prices, and heartfelt hospitality. I Highly recommend it!“

“It was a super cold windy day during winter, they had chairs inside for ppl to wait but they forced us out. Food was nice tho
+ From the review below, I just noticed that the owner recently changed. I experienced this in 2023. Thank you for kindly replying to my review. I gave the stars back.“

“Rating: 4.5 out if 5 (rounded to 5)
Just ate at Arirang Korean Restaurant and really enjoyed it. The staff gave off a warm husband-and-wife vibe (that’s just a guess could be totally wrong), and the food was excellent. We had the Bulgogi + Galbi beef combo, in case you’re wondering, Galbi are Korean short ribs, both Bulgogi and Galbi have always been a longtime favorite of mine, we also got the Yukgaejang, a spicy beef soup with egg, vegetables, and vermicelli noodles (I did not try so I cannot speak to the flavor, I’m not a big into noodles of soup).
Both my dishes were flavorful and well prepared.
The dining room has large windows that let in lots of natural light and a pleasant view; I liked the plant by the window. The ambiance is simple rather than elaborate, but the friendly atmosphere and great food more than made up for it.
I recommend giving Arirang a try. As always for a more detailed review and photos, visit SquareZones as I tried to provide long form blog reviews there.“

“The place was pretty busy the two times I went. The service is not the best because there’s usually only 3 servers.
The price is a bit higher for the meat but they give good portions. The food tasted alright but it felt like it was missing something. I was a fun experience though.
The place is usually loud because of the grills, fans, and chatter. Everything was clean and well kept. One thing I didn’t like was the pink neon lights. It was hard to tell when the meat was cooked because of them.“

“Food here is always prepared well and to your order. The staff are excellent and accommodating. The Korean food is my Japanese friends favorite, while I enjoy their American foods. Always a treat.“
“Very much on the expensive side for what it is, but love the flavors that are being put together here. Build your own bowl ends up kinda like bibimbap but without a hot stone, also they forgot my fried egg and ended up making it later and also giving me free fried chickpeas which were incredible. The gochujang sauce is so good“

“Four of us came to this restaurant right after graduation. We were offered limited graduation menu. We ordered pretty much all meals on the menu. Drinks were good, food was OK and service was good. It was expensive and I felt like you paid for ambiance. Had heard a lot about this place but at the end it was disappointing overall“
