Love this place, but don't like the "service" model. I usually go to get ricewood and then grab a beer. However, unless you sit at the bar, you have to wait in line to order your beer from one location, then go to the bar and pick it up. Sometimes the wait can be 5 minutes or more to order the beer, then wait to have it poured etc. I don't tip in that case, and sometimes I get the look from staff. Sorry, but if I'm waiting in line then go into another...
We had a private event at York and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Between the atmosphere of the establishment to the highly educated bartenders. The entire staff was first class. Highly recommended for grabbing a coffee or cocktail with a friend, or for a larger event situation.
Absolutely amazing! The employees are knowledgeable and helpful. They have (very graciously) taught me so much about wine. The prices are more than reasonable. Even if you don't usually spend the money to go to wine bars, I recommend the wine bar at York.
