It's really tough because the pizza is good. However, as soon as you watch how the owner treats and constantly condescends his employees, it leaves such a bad taste in your mouth. I felt for them- it was like they couldn't do a single thing right in his eyes.
I was not overly impressed with this place. The pizzas tasted very good, but they were a little difficult to eat. The Margherita pizza was a little soggy, and the Prosciutto pizza just fell apart when trying to pick up a piece.
Holy moly, these guys know how to use a brick oven. The dough is perfect with a fluffy crust with a thin middle but enough to hold the toppings and had the perfect amount of char from the 900+ degree oven. We’ve been back multiple times for the Arugula and Prosciutto or the Funghi. I pair it with some chowder from across the way and it’s a high end meal for 2 for 35-40 bucks. Highly recommend this place, one of my favorites of Ann Arbor.
