First and foremost, Lisa the bartender is a gem! So kind and gracious. The food, was off the charts as good as it gets! The brisket as good as I have ever had and I've had brisket all around the US. I highly recommend any time you are in Ann Arbor, stop in at Relish, it's located inside the Kensington Hotel.
The service here was great, the waitress was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is nice. Unfortunately, the food is mediocre. The brisket was super dry and without bbq sauce, not worth eating. The pork belly was ok. The smoked fish dip didn’t have a smoked fish flavor taste but was good. My son’s burger was overcooked and his fries terrible. The best thing we ate was the Caesar salad and macaroni and cheese. I definitely would not eat here again. Online the menu sounds good...
This place is a hidden gem for anyone who craves barbeque in the Ann Arbor area. You wouldn't know that from the name or location but give it a try and you won't be disappointed. I tend to stick the the brisket, ribs and pulled pork. But my wife likes the smoked chicken. Meals come with 2 sides (get the salad as one of them) and portions are huge. The Mac and Cheese is really good as well.
