The service and the ambience are exceptional. While our daughter was attending the University of Michigan about eight years ago, we often went to Sava’s. Their food was always very good and we particularly loved the sweet potato fries. We brought some friends there tonight for the first time and were incredibly disappointed with the quality of the food. The Smashburger was good, the chicken Milanese sandwich was over fried, tasteless and had no sauce. The scallops were average. Even the dirty martini was underwhelming. Invited friends who had never been there before and I’m sorry to say I will not recommend Sava’s again nor will we return. It’s just not what it used to be and to add insult to injury, there was a 3% substantiability tax added, which we had no idea was there until after we had left. We all drove 45 minutes to get to this restaurant. Sadly, we will not return again. There are many better restaurants in Ann Arbor than Sava’s.

Sava's has been a favorite of ours for many years. It is a quality Ann Arbor restaurant that is always busy and has kept current with modern renovations and frequent menu updates. It can be a casual meal or an upscale experience, whatever you prefer. There is plenty of cuisine variety, yet just a single page of menu items. When we have out-of-town visitors this is one of our go to choices. I suggest making a reservation if dining during a prime time, as they do fill up quickly.

Great dinner and service. Nina our server was 5 stars and the food killed. Bang bang shrimp recommended was top flight as was my filet. Best of all my Manhattans 🥃 were always on time 👍🏻

We found this place randomly when another restaurant around the corner had a wait over an hour long and it was very lucky because the food was very good! We were surprisingly sat right away and food came very quickly. The service was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is beautiful and well curated. A little pricey for smaller portions but to be expected for the area.

We have been here twice (both times before a concert) and have never had any issues. We were early for our reservation this time and they gave us our table right away-no waiting. The food was good (but the pasta could have used a bit more salt, but that's just me). Staff was very friendly and attentive. Atmosphere is laid-back and calm. Definitely a place to go if you are in the downtown area.

We stopped here after touring the University of Michigan. Wow!!!! The staff was super friendly, and the food was just delish. We had the huevos rancheros which were probably the best we've had, the smoked salmon toast and the burger. Everything was great. Staff was super friendly. Must go back!
