We visited The Jefferson Market last week with family. This place is obviously a well loved spot, and I can see why. But I wanted to mention a few things that aren't indicated on their website that I wouldn't know if I has not had a family member to help me out. First, it's a counter service and table service mix. So at some counter service places you order then pick up your food. At table service you sit then order then they bring it to you. Neither happens here....
My wife and I have eaten at so many different places in Ann Arbor since our daughter started school at u of m, and I will say that this place is one of my favorites! We stopped in a few weeks ago while checking on our dauthers cat, and we were pleasantly surprised. I will be honest that I didn't expect much due to the size of the menu, but the food is amazing! Both my wife and I thought the sage sausage was going to be a bit off putting, let's just say it's not...
We had Blueberry Lemon Curd Pancakes, Strawberries and Whip Cream Pancakes, a Simple Breakfast, and a side of scrambled eggs. The eggs were scrambled to perfection. The pancakes were good, not the best I ever had, but good. The lemon curd complimented the blueberry pancakes well. The potatoes in the simple breakfast were and dry. Some of the potatoes were burnt black.
This place is more of a carry-out place. There are places to sit and they will bring your food...
