I went in for a quick coffee before work and the place had a calm, easygoing vibe. The barista greeted me right away and helped me pick something since I wasn’t sure what to order. I got a medium roast and it tasted fresh, not too strong but still had good flavor. The shop itself was clean and there were a few people working on laptops which made it feel relaxed. My order took a few minutes but nothing unreasonable. Prices seemed pretty normal for a coffee shop around here....
Tried out a few times. The sandwiches are good, but quite expensive. The variety of pastries is lovely. Their bagels are ok, but made worse by their use of cream cheese that has been frozen. Frozen cream cheese acquires a sour taste and crumbly texture, and is pretty easily detectable by taste test. Really disappointing.
Five stars for Asha and the incredible atmosphere she brings! Asha’s service makes coming to the Cafe Next Door worth the while. The pastries and drinks are amazing as well, but nothing beats Asha and her positivity!!
